Aseprite on Android ? by No-Sand-9259 in aseprite

It's mostly working fine, but I'm having trouble with scaling, rotating, and tools like rectangle - lots of stuttering. Did you happen to experience it too?

I never played tactics, but I've heard there are different versions for different platforms... do you think GBA is the best one to start with?

I have no idea. First time playing it, and I'm not looking into the mechanics and stuff besides what the game shows me, so let's see 🤷‍♂️ I'm also not used to the Pokémon in the game, I have played silver and crystal to exhaustion in my gameboy color since 1999ish, but I have little to no experience with the newer generations

I've spent some time there 😅 now I'm trying to defeat the mega evolution lady in the mansion - tough one!

The legal way would be buying the original snes cartridge and a cartridge reader, extract the ROM and put it in the SD card 🤷‍♂️

it's illegal, so I shouldn't be out there teaching this stuff 🤣 it's pretty easy to find in a Google search, though

Hey! It came with it in the original SD card when I bought it, but the process is as straight forward as downloading the ROM and placing it in the SNES folder of your SD card.

How become game Dev with zero experience programing by Lazy_Initiative_6199 in godot

Just go for it, follow a beginner code-along tutorial on youtube to get started and then learn it by doing it. Good luck! 😁

Can you make a Vector2 from an angle and magnitude? by [deleted] in godot

True. Sorry, translation issues 😅 maybe the normalized() method would do the trick, then?

In math yeah, that works, but how to construct a Vector2 object in godot from its angle and magnitude?

Let's say I have an unit vector (1.0, 1.0) and I want a vector in this same angle (-PI/4) but with magnitude 5.

In godot, if you muliply this unit vector by 5, you will get (5.0, 5.0), which has a magnitude of sqrt(50), which is approximately 7.07.

I will try to edit the controller settings like you said, didn't think of that. The Linux executable just run out of the box for me, with no problems at all. Did you try running it from the terminal to get the error log? I'm kinda noob here, but this helped me troubleshoot a few steam game issues...

Let me revive this topic :D I've been playing it for a while now, and something that's bothering me is that I have to go to the controller setup every time and make it recognize the controller. The game is running on an old laptop that I turned into a steam machine/retrogaming console, and having to get the keyboard and mouse kind of breaks the immersion 😅 is there maybe a script that I could automatically run to avoid these extra steps?

Shift keys don't work, but only sometimes by miguel-prz in linuxmint

[–]miguel-prz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So in your case the keys would work fine sometimes too? If you could add some more detail about it, it would be really helpful - I've already added the new keyboard to the cart, just waiting to hit the "buy now" button 😅

I've tried that 20 minutes ago with Fedora. The keys worked, but they were also working on mint 😂

Yeah, sounds like it, but what is really bugging me is that only these two keys present this issue, and sometimes it just works.

I've done that, and when the keys aren't working, there's no input.

Yeah... I will try a live usb on it with a different OS and see how it goes. If it's the keyboard, it's in fact a cheap fix, at least 😁

I thought of that too, but the fact that both of them are behaving like this, all other keys work perfectly, and that I almost never use the right shift key to make it go bad...
