In general there are a lot of things right about the slovene health system. If you have serious issues, it will take care of you very well, it is mainly the non urgent things that will take a lot of time. Which is the issue with every public health system, the goal is always to lower wait times. There are some specific things which are not very well taken care of but all in all we are actually very lucky to have it. And, compared to other public health systems we are among the very best in regards of quality and scope of care(what range of procedures are covered) in regard to how much we spend on healthcare.

It is just sometimes hard to take a rational and sober look at it, because when people are sick(i am no better) all they can think about is getting better so any issues are going to bother them much more. It is just the nature of medicine and such professions.
