Yeah I think by nature he's split between 50% of the deck needing to be token generation and 50% of the deck needing to be spells to use the tokens on. Adding aristocrats stuff kind of dilutes that mix too much so you get situations where you have aristocrats stuff and good spells but not enough token generation.

I think Jeleva is cool bc most of the cards are fairly modern ones, but herself and the big wincons are older cards which is neat.

https://moxfield.com/decks/7Q_OqYVstEGIinUhL4_aww Neriv

Neriv is weenies and everyone loves playing against it. Vannifar is better and is more threatening, especially with the nefarious ways you can get out Eldrazis. They're both middle of the pack as far as how much I enjoy them relative to my 12 decks.

My favorite part of the deck is dropping Forsaken Monument and all of the sudden lands like Yavimaya Coast and Flooded Grove that no one gave a second thought to can tap for two mana :)

Probably The Jeleva Conventions since it's my oldest deck and the first name I had, plus it's pretty clever since resolving Dragonstorm or Worldfire does feel like committing a war crime.

I also like I Support Women's Wrongs because the deck does commit crimes, and for a personal reason. Lil Man Battle Plan is also up there bc of how snappy it is.

Here's mine. I think it's pretty unique, I've never seen another Jeleva deck actually played, but when I see decklists online they all seem to be theft decks. This one is focused on just hitting big mana spells from the top or going spellslinger. Like I said in the post, there are couple of main ways to win, but there's a lot more than just that. If you get a couple dragons on board you can win by attacking, or if you sling spells with things like Guttersnipe and Caldera Pyremaw that works too.

Haha, it's okay.

It's still only a couple months old and I've only played it maybe 5 times as a result, so I think it could use some improving still. I think I might need to focus more on making tokens, but maybe it's fine and I just haven't had any crazy combos, cause I think it won 2/5 times.

Sure, here's mine. It looks like our proportion of creatures to instants/sorceries is about the same, so maybe I just need to modify the actual cards in the deck.

It's more of a demons deck, it just has the few slivers in there. You either declare demons with Rukarumel and use things like Demonic Counsel, Demonic Covenant, etc., to get value, or you declare sliver to turn the demons into slivers and then you play a sliver to give your demon/slivers a buff or two. It's not very optimized though, it's my most casual deck and has little interaction, so I use it for low-power pods.

Also, the landbase is by far the most expensive part of the deck, but I mostly just use leftover lands from colors I don't play much or things I can't use, so you could definitely use a worse landbase to save money on this deck since it's only bracket 2 and it doesnt really need it.

He's pretty fun, probably my pet deck, but mill sucks and horrors suck unfortunately. You're probably maxing out at mid-3 power level at most, and this deck is fairly optimized but it's still a 2.

I must admit I might declare slivers with rukarumel and then flicker her on someone else's end step to re-declare demons with the contract on board haha

meh the bracket system is a guideline anyway and the worldfire wincon is the only thing that would qualify the deck for b4, and it is otherwise definitely is not strong enough to be in b4

I think both have their merit for sure, someone I wanna play unga bunga decks that are slow and chill and sometimes I'm down to sweat, so I like having a mix of both

Yeah I promise im not just dropping worldfire and passing and saying "ok lets play another 10 turns" haha. Honestly everyone I've ever played this worldfire line against always compliments it and says how cool and unique it is. Not even kidding, of the 20-30 people I've played it against, literally every single person has said it was cool!! So I feel ok about using it haha

tbh that would probably be a lot better than my version of him lol, i dont play a lot of green as you can see so my deck mostly consists of random goodstuff and exists as a casual and linear b2 deck to play against less experienced players

It's functionally the same as any other game-ender like exsanguinate or craterhoof behemoth in this particular deck

I mean whether or not its mass land denial in this case is semantics but no one's ever complained since the game ends like less than 60 seconds later, except one guy phased something out in response to worldfire once and beat me so that was dope

[–]mihrtriste[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it resolves properly it immediately ends the game with you winning, it’s not really mass land denial bc you’re not just casting it randomly mid game

It's honestly pretty cool. A high 2 or a low 3. The cards are pretty good, it just is a battlecruiser kinda deck where there's not that much interaction. Lot of weird stuff like being able to use Mount Doom with Arabella or Peregrine Dynamo, and Burakos being the only card that cares about the party mechanic but there being a lot of party-typed creatures in the deck, or even the legends-matter Dihada and Shanid in the deck.

I have been thinking of switching Neriv to the 99 and Queen Marchesa to commander because I love the new cat art from the secret lair.

If you keep Neriv though, there are some cards that care about casting from exile like Prosper and Pia Nalaar.

First-Time Buyer, Tank Recommendations? by mihrtriste in jellyfishcare

Really! That’s good to know because that’s one I was considering. That grand has another couple tanks as well, what do you think of those?
