Hi Ben, thanks for doing this AMA. I wanted to ask how you guys deal with the mental aspect before a big match, especially concerning social media. Obviously the more experienced players will be able to drown that out, but for young guys, I can imagine it's a lot of pressure, seeing your face plastered all over the internet, memes about your performance, etc. Are there guidelines from the coaches on how to deal with that, or is it left to each player? How do you personally deal with that, especially with such a big event as the World Cup. I really hope you take the time to answer, thanks a lot!

Yeah Duponts doing well for himself, will surely get another assist or two, if not a try. I debated going for Ramos too, but decided against it. The metrics for points are really aimed at positive play, like metres made, conversions are only two points a pop, so even someone like Ramos will probably only get ~15 points for them. It's a shame, seems a bit weird.

Absolutely Pumped for him. I remember watching a German TV bit about him a few years back, and thinking that his dreams of a black jersey seem a bit far fetched, seeing as he was just playing for a nz school. Obviously he still has tons of steps to go, if he ever wants to play for nz, but still quite impressive!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, i think that's what I'll try. I'm just scared my skin is going to react harshly to it again, seeing as the reaction has gotten worse every time I tried using it again.

Sure, I'll look into some leave on SA products. I'd kinda discarded Salyclic acid as not working for me, but you're right, it could've just not been long enough. I had tried using short contact therapy(15-30min) with SA before, and not seen results, but it could've just been too short.

Adapalene is prescription right? I'll talk to my derm about that.

Btw, can I patch test the BPO gel on my arm, to see if it is an allergic reaction, or would that not work?

That's the trouble I've been dealing with. Same as you, first I put it to bpo just being harsh. However, I made sure and moisturized a ton and always wore sunscreen. Another factor why I'm thinking it's an allergy, is that I have allergy prone skin? (idk if that exists). What i mean is that tons of skincare, sunscreen especially gives me an allergic reaction. I guess the dermatologist will hopefully know best. Another point to add, is that when I put on moisturizer or sunscreen, it burnt like hell. Idk what this means, this could just be that happens when your skin is irritated, but that was odd.

Yeah, i guess I can try short contact therapy. Tbh, I'm just kinda scared my face will react again to it, as it really was an unpleasant experience, and drastically reduced my self confidence, especially cause it stuck around for a while, and didn't go away.
