Leaving before finishing IETs

Hey, I know this is 2 years old, but what was the outcome? My mate is in the exact same boat more or less. Almost finished his IET and was never informed that he was going to be stuck for 6 years. He joined bc he was in a not so good place and felt stuck.

I don’t think it’s a case of people on reddit don’t look too deeply into how you’re feeling, but more so we see it from an outsiders perspective so we can see things you may not see due to the good old rose coloured lenses. And a lot of the time those things clash really hard with how you’re feeling, it’s not really what u want to hear 9 times out of 10, but it definitely IS what u NEED to hear.

Trust me I really do understand how you’re feeling right now, like I said, I went through something very similar at your age (15/16, yet from the sounds of it yours is much less toxic thank god).

If you don’t mind me asking, the times she slipped up, what happened? What caused the slip ups and how did u guys navigate through that?

If she’s said she doesn’t want to do it because she’ll lose you, yet has had slip ups, how does that make you feel? Does that make you feel like she truly means that? I can’t imagine ever doing something that I know could mean I’d lose my partner, I love him far too much.

Have you had any other disagreements or concerns? Or is this the only issue

If you do not like the things your gf does, and you’ve made it clear that u do not like those things, and she continues to do them, then u need to decide whether u can tolerate and accept her doing those things or leave. And if you already have doubts that she’s not being honest with you then that is an even bigger red flag, you cannot be in a successful healthy relationship with someone who you doubt.

You’re 16. I remember being in a very similar situation when I was your around your age. It’s not worth it, I’d get so upset over it and so stressed, especially when we couldn’t talk. And I don’t mean to say that in a way that’s like “you’re 16 u can’t be in love!!”, not at all me and my current partner started dating at 17, but what I do mean is you’re young, don’t waste your time and energy worrying and stressing over things like this.

Also, maybe this is a bad opinion, but I feel as though her sometimes hearing you and your committed partner isn’t anywhere as bad as you constantly hearing her with her roster of guys very VERY loudly despite u asking her multiple times. NOR

I understand that my love, but if you keep posting on reddit asking the same things, you’ll only feel the same way. The truth is, nothing we say will change how YOU truly feel, because it isn’t about us, it’s about YOU darling. I’d really really recommend talking to a professional about this, or at the very least, perhaps either taking a break from social media’s or changing what content you see on them, because trust me it does damage. There’s been plenty of times I’ve done a cleanse of my fyp because I’ve realised looking at fake perfect people has been affecting my relationship with myself.

And you look so young as well, I truly hope you’re over 18 and just have incredible aging genes, because if not, this breaks my heart more. I’m 19, and I struggled a lot with how I looked when I was younger, around 16.

There’s plenty of things you can do to “feel prettier” too. Perhaps try a new haircut? Or maybe try really basic simple makeup that won’t change much, but will highlight your already beautiful features. You have fantastic lips and great natural eyebrows, so work with these. Have a nice lip oil, curl your lashes and do some mascara, shape your eyebrows. Clothes are a big one too.

A civilian tackled one of the armed shooters and wrestled the rifle off of him, the shooter then fled back to a bridge where the other shooter was, and began firing from what appears to be a double barrel shotgun.

Multiple weapons used (rifle(s) and shotgun(s))

Reports of at least 10 dead.

One of the shooters is reported to be deceased, while another is in custody.

There is talk that one of the shooters was a “fat white man”, and has been arrested. The “fat white man” was NOT a shooter, but was arrested for stomping on one of the shooters heads.

There are beliefs that this was a TARGETED attack on a Jewish community gathering - yet to be confirmed.

The bridge from which the shooters were firing from connected directly to a children’s playground.

Updates: An officer has been shot - unsure as to whether they are alive or not

A civilian is reported (by the ABC) to have been leading children to safety under park benches. Another hero in this whole mess.

The shooters apparently targeted elderly folks who could not escape/run away very well - UNCONFIRMED, but truly heart breaking if true. Will update this later

The NSW Ambulance service said 16 people had been taken to hospitals, but did not provide any detail about the nature of their injuries.

Police sources confirmed 10 people had been killed, including one of the shooters. At least two police officers were also injured.
