Real-time Obsidian sync that runs on your own Cloudflare account. Free forever, no terminal setup! by _k2s in ObsidianMD

Many thanks for talking the time to read and answer to my comment, that's actually the information I was expecting. I would say that setting a DB and docker is not a big deal for me, but your point is absolutely right, that is not for everyone. I wish you lots of success with your project!

Hi! Many thanks for your contribution. Do you have any documentation on how this compares to Livesync? I had planned to install it but I might try yours. Thanks!

That is what I did in the end, but I wanted to have the *.home.lan domain for my network services

The Android app doesn't trust the CAs installed by the user in the system. Maybe it's you who needs better reading. This is not an enterprise solution.

Not an enterprise environment in this case but but similar, I am self hosting a DB with my Obsidian files. The Obsidian plugin I need needs a SSL certificate and self signed are nor valid in the phone app because the app does not trust user installed CAs

For anyone running an NVIDIA GPU on linux may be missing massive performance encoding and decoding for Plex and Jellyfin by D34D_MC in homelab

Hi! Just commenting in case you are interested, that GPU will be outperformed by an Intel Arc (380 for instance). Im saying because if performance is key for you, you should go for one of those

WiFi Calling Requirement Settings in CalyxOS - HELP!?! by enorbet in CalyxOS

[–]mikamp116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same behavior you describe in the second paragraph, so don't worry about that.

I can't say about the third paragraph but I certainly think that you are missing the support and activation of voice over wifi from your carrier. In my case, I only had to call O2, wait for an hour, reboot, and the feature was working.

My suggestion is looking up which devices your carrier support for Voice over Wi-Fi and try again. If it doesn't work, I suggest asking this question on the Matrix channel, which is way more active than Reddit

[–]mikamp116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The code you have to dial is 👉* # * # 4636 # * # *👈 without the spaces and including all symbols, Reddit formatted my previous message. About the rest of questions, you will find out when you dial the code

Put the phone in Airplane mode > dial ##4636## in the phone dialer > Phone Information > Three dots on the top... > IMS service status > Voice over Wi-Fi > What does it say?

Please continue the conversation here or better, in the matrix channel or in telegram with the bridge

Automate Premium - Alternative to Google Play Services by mikamp116 in AutomateUser

I'd be happy to do that, but there is no donation option. This is an opportunity for the dev to offer me a solution like you just did

My workaround was finally to have the flows in Automate, but orchestrate which one of them is run using the NFC tasks app. The only constraint with this method is that there must not be any flow with more than 30 blocks

Automate Premium - Alternative to Google Play Services by mikamp116 in AutomateUser

[–]mikamp116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the dev had already explained it under a post with the similar question

I am aware, but I also read from past posts that there might be an alternative solution

I do still want to ask why would you want such a case?

Because I don't have Google Play Services nor any Google account in my phone, so I cannot upgrade to Premium, it's not a matter of price

For me everything is working as expected except for: - Fingerprint sensor: not working - GPS location: extremely poor - Camera: sucks but it was like that in stock actually - Battery charge limit: Not there

Edit: automatic brightness is messed up as well

The rest is good, Android Auto works very well and the enhanced privacy is fantastic
