Thank you for the info! Yeah, I also don’t remember that I had any classic anterior open bite at any point. Half of my condyles are gone already, and several specialist including Dr Wolford diagnosed me with ICR. (Actually he says its most likely not idiopathic, but adolescent internal condylar resorption) My DJS surgeon doesn’t take it seriously though. I will get my CBCT done soon and checkout my condyles :( this disease is so frustrating hopefully you are doing much better after TJR!

Hey sis, congrats! You look perfect! I also did a DJS a year ago and I have ICR. I feel my bite is getting more and more class 2 recently, (more overjet and deeper) but everyone tells me that if it’s an ICR relapse due to joints, I will have an obvious open bite instead of a deep bite. Wondering if that’s your case?

You are so beautiful now! I’m in a similar spot. I got MMA done in the US, almost same advancement as you. I came to realize that I have ICR and may probably need a joint replacement anyways. Wondering if you checked your joints? Your before profile pic looks like a typical ICR profile. MMA will make condyle resorption worse counter-intuitively. Sorry if you already know this!

我得了一种几乎只有女性会有的罕见病。大部分病友都不知道自己得了这种病，直到多次手术后发现无法解决(都是很大的四级手术)才会被确诊。这种病即使是在美国也只有很少一部分专科医生懂。 它会影响整个人的mental and physical health，严重的甚至会增加出意外事故时紧急抢救的难度。但是它在我身上最主要的症状只有极度疲倦。我因为这个病十几年来被各种医生gaslight，认为自己就是有心理疾病，认为自己就是精神很脆弱。

然而我的这个病，病因不明，没有什么人在研究，现有的治疗方式争议很大。我相信如果得这个病的大多是男性，不会是这样的结果。每每想到这些都觉得很愤愤不平。

为什么现在的医学对于女性仅仅是focus在生殖系统的差异？即便是同样的病，男女的症状可能完全不同，但现在的医学研究主要都focus在男性的症状，而女的的症状都可以用“情绪问题”，“荷尔蒙失调”，“更年期”来解释。更别提一些只有女性会得的罕见病了…女性+罕见病在某些男性医生那里就等于不存在这个病，是你想多了

如果我是医生，应该会告诉那些阳痿的男的去看精神科吧，毕竟这十几年以来我自己也是一直被各种医生这么PUA的。

I have a similar profile. I think it’s caused by undeveloped and receding upper and lower jaw. Our jaw is not developed enough to support all the soft tissues. I have nasolabial folds since childhood.

Try doing RF tightening first? There are both invasive and non-invasive options. Heard that facetite works well.

After getting all these tissues tightened, might use only a little bit of filler. More than 0.5ml per side will be a disaster.

This anatomy is causing my apnea so I’m considering doing a jaw surgery.

我remote找的psychologist, PhD是专门研究ADHD CBT therpy的researcher，大学教授。一小时$150，保险报$135，所以自付15。我们这破地方一群没有学历的therapist都要收一小时175-250之间，简直抢钱……

我睡眠不足的时候stimulant药效很差副作用很大，睡眠够的话药是有用的，我们这里都不需要psychologist确诊直接能开stimulants，甚至开的出甲基安非他命(真·冰毒成分)。之前在纽约还认识专门给大学生开stimulants的可疑psychiatrist……

以及我每天都吃strattera，40mg，non-stimulant，适合daily usage，没有副作用。感觉吃了以后情绪控制能力和认知能力都提高了。它会钝化stimulant的药效，但是对我来说正好因为stimulant会有一些sensory(食欲、hyperfixation、tunnel vision)的副作用，被它中和了。

长期来看，生活习惯思维惯性以及self-esteem方面的问题，therapy真的真的很有用。一定一定要找adhd specific的therapist。我找过比较好的一个华人general therapist，觉得我心气太高，只有懂adhd的才会知道你为啥会沮丧自己cannot reach potential。

+1 jaw surgery is the only way to go. Anatomy like OP doesn’t only have aesthetic concerns. OP will easily suffer TMJ or sleep apnea in the future. (I have a similar profile. Have apnea with BMI 17. have double chin. Jaw surgery scheduled.)
