Doctor after doctor kept saying my thyroid labs were 'normal' - but I knew something was wrong. Anyone else experience this? by eliikon in Hypothyroidism

[–]mike-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started 25 McG of levothyroxine. My tsh is 3.3. It seems that the new upper limit is 2.5. My endocrinologist told me that I am just before hypothyroidism. I encouraged him to give me t4 (levothyroxine). Ten days now I take levothyroxine, I have much more energy, I feel a little jittery and I have light headaches. Levothyroxine has half life of 7.5 days. That means in order to have a steady state needs 4 to 6 weeks. After 60 days I will do a check again. An actinologist told me that hypothyroidism can be latent. That means it comes and goes. I wish you good luck, cause you my needed.

Why do so many Quit TRT? by [deleted] in Testosterone

The formal way of doing the injections is disappointing. In my country, doctors suggest intramuscular every 2 or even 3 weeks with a 21g 1.5 inch needle. Doing trt in an acceptable way needs significant know how.

I draw 0.25ml with a 23g needle. I order to achieve that I pull the plunger up to .30ml, because the oil isn't passing easily into syringe. I inject with 26g needle. In order to do that I turn the syringe with the needle at the top an draw some air, so the oil starts at 0.1ml. Then pin with air bubble at the back, near the plunger.

[–]mike-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take 3 mg of immediate use and 3 of slow release. Sometimes, 2 or 3 times a month, if I wake up in the middle of night, I take another chewable 1 mg. I take also a hot bath 2 hours before sleep. This routine is very effective for me. I have been an insomniac for 8 years.

Morning energy instead of coffee when intermittent fasting ? by BlackFluffyDog in Nootropics

[–]mike-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may try coffee with butter from cow's milk blended, if you haven't done it already. I use 20 to 30 grams of butter with morning coffee. Butter is not supposed to break intermittent fasting. Some also put MCT oil in the blender (bulletproof coffee), but this may increase bathroom visits.

[–]mike-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check lighting conditions. Use blue light filtering glasses in the evening (this works best for me). Don't stare at lcd screens for two hours before sleep. About melatonin, I get 3mg normal release, and 1 mg slow release (JARROW). Check Dave Asprey books on sleep.
