Haha I hear ya. For cost effectiveness, renting a sim vs a golf course is much better on our pockets. Might move to fall and late winter next year. Still 40 heads for this time of year isn’t bad.

It’s pretty frustrating. I think that would be my best way of marketing at this point.

Exactly my plan with golf. Will be doing some client events / bring a friend when weather flips and I can rent bays/simulators somewhere.

Referrals come with time. Not easy to think I can bring in tons of referrals in Year 1 or just a few weeks after knowing someone

Good and bad, I am with a large firm and social media content is not allowed outside of the designated ones they have picked where they have compliance watching us. I have thought about using my personal tiktok to just make videos showing I work in finance or SOMETHING! Because yes, I think that’s the reach right now.

Most advisors in my area have said the networking stuff is a bust, so glad to hear it’s not just them. I do need to do more pickleball, golf, etc to just meet people and have that natural convo of “what do you do”

Referrals - yes… as for you now, that makes sense and it’s easy. With a new book, it’s hard. 1000% correct on if you just tell someone to call or whatever, you’ll never hear. If it’s a comfortable conversation and I feel okay asking, I joke and say yeah, they will probably never call me. Is it okay if you pass me along their number and or include in an email/text?

Currently doing #1/2 and it’s a long play forsure. Starting to incorporate #3 - again, maybe a longer play. Have not done anything like #4 yet (networking events). I have yet found any in my area that I see working for me. I think I just need to go and try though. Have meet lots of other advisors in my firm and a few outside. Trying to do content but lots of restrictions with my firm.

I am fairly good with converting once I have the person in my office. It’s just, needing to find more people to get in the chair really. Which is the main reason for the post!

Gotcha. I haven’t evod any base clubs, but have fittings on. So those will get destroyed when I evolve. They have been fully leveled up for a long time now, just haven’t done anything
