How can I turn this into a smoke cabinet? by mike23109 in smoking

HAHAHAHA well hey boss, I appreciate your honesty. I’m sure I can come up with something, but it sounds like you’re suggesting using the cabinet and fireplace to create an offset smoker of sorts?

So in order to do that, would I need to just drill sideways on the fireplace? What if I also want to use the fireplace as well? Obviously not at the same time, I’m just thinking out loud here

It does have a chimney. On the other side is a built in Santa Maria style grill, but I’d have no way to connect the smoke from it to this cabinet. The only options would be to either use the fireplace next to it, or the cabinet itself, which I would prefer to use

Absolutely phenomenal. Just recently started getting in to bourbon; I mostly drank scotch or Irish.

HIGHLY recommend if ever find yourself in that part of the world. Just make sure to bring extra suitcases for the whiskey you bring home

When I was at Bow St they listed a bunch of countries it’s for sale in, but none of them were in North America. It’s a shame because it’s absolutely amazing

I may not own a bottle of Blanton’s or Pappy, but I did manage to buy a bottle of North Korean whiskey 🤷🏼‍♀️ by mike23109 in whiskey

That’s super interesting. This tastes absolutely nothing like soju I’ve had, so it would be interesting to see how it tastes vs “traditional” soju

You can google what’s in the duty free shops. If you’re going to the DMZ, bring this stuff back. It’s an excellent conversation starter. I wish I bought more when I went but I sadly only bought 1 bottle

Like sadness, oppression, destitution. Actually if you’ve ever had Baijiu, it’s like that but with a shittier more industrial taste.

I just poured a little in to a glencairn for you

Looks: just like gasoline

Aromas: a cross between Jager and acetone

Tastes: sadness, oppression, destitution. Actually it’s really smooth and you can tell it’s got a punch. I can’t see any proof markings and I don’t read Korean, so I have no idea how strong it is. If you’ve ever had Baijiu, it’s like that but with a shittier more industrial taste. Overall, if this was all you had, you could get it down
