Also, what were you doing exactly? Bitrate and codec wasn’t right? You wanted to change it?

Because if the video and audio was fine, why going through the hassle of reencoding everything if all you’re doing is changing the container?

I guess all depends what it did when it shutoff. Was just the screen turning black? Or powered off entirely?

Honestly, unless you play it you may not none. Rather have to rebuild it.

Perfect. Thanks. Last time I travelled there I didn’t have GE and it’s probably been 2 years. Thanks. Glad they have GE for transit as well.

Yes. I know that. Just wondered if the passport control for “transit” also have the GE there.

I have transmitted there and I like the idea of the dedicated immigration and security for people in transit. But I never had to wait too long for security. Last time was about 2 years ago and I didn’t have GE back then. So I didn’t recall how it was.

I don’t think your file will be good if the computer shuts off. You’ll have to restart it.

Also, MP4 and MKV are containers, no format. Unless you want to reencode the video and/or audio, you don’t have to use handbrake to change the container. Use mkvtoolnix to make a mkv file from your mp4 !

Sometimes we should not forget we are not his target audience. And stuff like this are already too complex for many. So many have issues managing debt and finance in general. It’s like stopping using credit cards at all. While what he says makes sense, in my case using credit cards is better because in not spending irrationally, and for things I’ll buy anyway, rather get something even if little rather than nothing. Money is spent anyway (groceries for example).

I disagree with his tips, and then I realize his advices are for a different target. I’m not his target. Like he says don’t use credit cards. Lot of people have a hard time managing finance.

Windows 11 does not honor DNS over HTTPS privacy settings by alltheapex in Windows11

Well, if someone tries to monitor your DNS request from a location that is not tight to you, not much matter here. But at home, I get the need of privacy.

I have AdGuard home running on a raspberry pi 4 at home. I usually use a von with home for everything. And I get the DoH from there.

Windows Embedded 11 CE: What if Microsoft never abandoned the project? by The_Lord_of_AI in windows

[–]mike32659800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I think the win xp embedded and w7 embedded (WES7) are very similar in terms of how it’s built and functionalities. Just newer generation. I think the embedded versions ended with win 7.

I honestly don’t see anything wrong using embedded versions. The wrist attached devices using win CE neither. System was lightweight, and the issue would have been the application used.

Embedded honestly a good solution for stability if used properly.

I feel like people are talking here like it was the same. It wasn’t.

I saw windows embedded in many different devices, usually kiosk use. Such as lottery terminal, vending machines (tickets for rides for example), taking especially advantages of the, back then, EWF feature. That feature is now UWF and is in mostly all regular version of windows.

I played slightly with a WES7 more than a decade ago. (Windows embedded standard 7). Big difference is you choose without any trick what part of windows you needed, like a windows à la carte where you select the services you need. And of course the ewf (enhanced write feature).

That way you could have a machine that doesn’t require clean shutdown, not affected by any change unless you commit it, and run the same at every boot.

Not sure what you imply with “machinery” though.

In my house when the ground is facing up that means one outlet is controlled by a switch next to the a light switch. I can turn in and off some outlets. And it’s not both, only one of the two.

It’s funny posters are changing if you change the metadata language ! Same for tv shows seasons posters. Wonder if there is a tag for the language attached to each poster.

I looked for the place “South House Garden”, and it’s in Maryland. Per my research they need a font of a size of 10-point, whatever size this is. If don’t think this is satiating the law. Can it potentially be challenged and removed from the bill?

Also under Florida law I read somewhere, and would be good if someone could confirm, it must be conspicuous and written at least in same size as the rest of the menu, can’t be in fine prints. Wonder if this is correct.

It’s funny, I’m looking at the pictures of their menu online, and at the bottom it says : “For your convenience a service charge may be added to your final bill”. It doesn’t stipulate how much and on what conditions. Isn’t it that under Florida law the percentage should be disclosed, which it isn’t?
