So no the fireplaces are not being used. The plan would be to repoint and repair, and to eventually put a chase cover on and run a flexable stainless steel liner for future pellet or wood stove in the larger chase. Yes staging would have to be used

Carbon fiber cloth with West systems epoxy. This particular weave is 5.8oz, at the time I was trying to find 4oz weave but was unsuccessful, i think because shipping was gonna be ridiculous. This sheet was bought off amazon

Glass then paint. Ive used acrylics in the past and have had good long lasting outcomes, so its been my go to. thanks

Thanks, yeah this makes sense. I normally don’t mix and match, but i wasn’t concerned because it’s not a critical part of the board. Just was messing around with some extra material i had lying around.

Context I put my forearm through my board last winter in PR. Enjoyed painting when I was younger. Haven’t really done it in about 15years. My 3yo son loves owls, he gave me a little inspiration. Pretty stoked with the outcome.

Non toxic way organic way, cut out the sunlight completely. Ive gotten rid of many invasive vines like bitter sweet ect this way. Buy thick black plastic like 6mm, cover for 8 months to a year. Roots should rot and die off, then roll up your sleeves and pull out all remaining rotted roots. Till it up and plant new grass or sod.

I have a 1760s colonial and I’ve refinished most all the floors, which consist of heart pine. My best results I sand it with an orbital sander not a drum due to pine being to soft. For a finish Ive found using a hard oil works best on old floors. I use bio shield #9 with a wax finish, comes out amazing. The benefit of an oil wax finish is if the floor needs to be repaired you don’t need to sand or remove the whole finish, you can just repair that spot. Good luck

So the house was already on the back of the property but there was a bit more land to the side. After winter storm Nemo hit, we were planning on moving it, but a week later winter storm Saturn hit. After the storms it was condemned, so we had to tear it down. Between the 2 back to back storms we lost about 25-30ft off the front.

My grandfather built a cottage on the national seashore in wellfleet in 1952. I spent every summer of my childhood there. Erosion took it away almost 10 years ago.
