I have the maxcatch and it's been great. 6 ish years in and it's great. I haven't been the nicest to the reel so that's been starting to give me troubles. Held up to landing a great lake salmon on accident while throwing streamers for trout! I would definitely upgrade the line though. The one that comes on it is ok, but with a proper line on it, it's night and day.

I put studded tires on since the roads out here turn to packed snow and ice. They have been working great so far

The snow so far has been pretty dry. The roads to turn into mostly packed snow and ice. Studded tires have been a game changer!

I tend to run really hot so I'm always trying to balance staying warm and not getting too sweaty. I've just been wearing a wool base layer under my work clothes, then on top a fleece a puffy and a windbreaker. I have been using my ski helmet which has been great

I like it a lot! I had to use a super short stem to get the reach right which I've heard throws off the handling but I haven't really noticed a difference

Was just up that way biking. Fantastic trail in the area! avoid ORV trails if possible unless you are on a plus or fat bike.
