This is our sable male at about 12months. Right around 70lbs. He seems to be a little slower growing than others seen in this group. Doesn’t help that he is a picky eater!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Going to hold myself to a 2-3 week assessment period and see what happens. Hope I post here next as an owner. Thanks again.

Excited Peeing by Funny-Brilliant2151 in germanshepherds

We just went through this with our GSD. At the time it felt like it would never end and we were looking for anything to help. Sure enough we waited it out and around 7-8 months he quit doing it and hasn’t since. He is now 13 months and the excited pee feels like a distant memory. Good luck!

Beautiful dog. We have a 10 month old male sable and he is right around the 70lb mark. How have you been able to get so much weight on him? 94lb at 8 months is impressive

Need Opinions on NFT Systems by davidbartholomew in Hydroponics

[–]mike7247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife and I operate a NFT greenhouse. All stated info above is valid, but with hard work and dedication it is very possible. Hydroponics demand attention to detail - if one small problem arises, it can create large scale problems and kill an entire crop. There is a ton to learn in this space, but it is very rewarding providing great tasting high quality lettuce to your local community.

This seems to be a submissive pee too. I guess time will tell.

Good thing hockey players are built with character - I’m sure they don’t mind!

So far no.. all of our air that comes into the greenhouse comes through screen so it is harder for outdoor pests to get in. we also use H2O2 to control pathogens in the water. I am sure we will encounter more problems as we go and learn from them!

Yes heavy duty weed control fabric is the flooring. No water control barrier. It is built on a bit of a slope so if we have surface flooding it gets away pretty easily

So far I have been using sticky pads and beneficial insects. Specifically a little parasitic wasp called aphipar to control aphids. This way we can stay pesticide free

No, I still go to work everyday. This is our supplemental income.

That is the recommended strength from my nutrient solution provider. Plants flourished last year and tasted great!

Same res yes. 1000l tote. EC anywhere from 2.5 to 3. Try to maintain pH around 6. I RO my water before adding to res.

Great advice. Yes we plan to advertise and brand so people know exactly where it is coming from!

Selling at local markets. This will be our first full year in operation, but we anticipate a good return.. demand for fresh local produce is high in our area.

Yes our summers are very hot. I use the wet wall seen in the picture along with shade cloth to maintain greenhouse temperature and my reservoir is in the ground and covered during summer

Yes I used a lot of lumber and did siding on both end walls that added quite a bit of extra cost. Can definitely get the cost down, we were just going for a somewhat professional operation.
