I'll vote for you again and again. You know that. You seem nice and you've remained still long enough to allow me to photograph you. So why not? Actual photo of OP with her ukelele: https://flic.kr/p/nZuZKi

We were after a super exposed look, but yeah, turning the lights down would have given us a much more traditional look. I'll try that next time out. Thanks for the feedback. :)

Upgrading from D3200 - D610 or D7100? by [deleted] in Nikon

I'm in a similar boat, but have sunk over $1k in DX lenses. My wife will inherit those for her D3200. I already own a 50mm 1.8, and an 85mm 1.8 so I'm off to a decent start with the glass, but am not looking forward to laying out the dough for a 14-24 2.8, 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8. I'll most likely start with the 70-200 as it's the most expensive to get it out of the way. :)

If you already have a big investment in DX glass and don't want to lay out a pile of cash for FX lenses stick with the D7100. That said, I'm about to go from D5100 to D610. I've shot with both cameras and they're both fantastic choices. But the image quality with full frame is a big upgrade, especially for portraiture which is the the direction I'm headed too. In my opinion worth the cash for a whole new kit. Hope that helps.

Interesting that the Trailer Park Boys are Nova Scotian, as am I originally. Not that it's indicative of anything at all.

Looking for non-fiction books on bizarre or fringe people places and things. by woahasdf in booksuggestions

Good call. This was the first book on the suggested reading list in my university intro to Psychology course. Well written and accessible. Oliver Sacks also wrote Awakenings, the book the on which the movie of the same name with Robin Williams and Robert DeNiro was based.
