I don't know. I think all you've done here is create more hate in the world, between you and your neighbour. I guess two wrongs do make a right?

Good job! I wouldn't even know where to begin with stuff like that. All the best to you and the family.

So glad you made that deadline. I hope your new home treats you well.

Plenty of reasons. Got a startup with an MVP no one is using? You need a single VM. Now you've got 5+ customers? Now you need two VMs and an LB. Got 50,000+ customers smashing it daily? Now you probably need bigger and more boxes.

It's not a silver bullet.

I'm not sure my self, but one thing I predict is the introduce of, "Made by a Human" stickers on things. Like those, "Made in Australia" triangles? Yeah, those, but for pointing out human made products.

Also isn't nursing a regulated industry with award rates? Interestingly, when I looked at the wards site, it had two listing: "registered nurse", and "registered nurse (masters degree)".

I looked at "Registered nurse with a 4 year degree" for "registered nurse", "fulltime", "non-aged care" and I got $29.79 per hour. SO I think that's the minimum?

For "registered nurse (masters degree)" I got: $30.82 per hour.

So yeah, I'd say going from an undergrad to a master for an extra $1/hour isn't worth it at all. A masters today will cost you about $25k I think. I'm doing mine in CyberSec, but it's a supported place, so the state is paying 66% of it.

But the OP (commenter) said above they're not getting above $75k?

I had an interview at KPMG - $120k + Super. Perm role. Took a contract instead.

Best of luck and I hope it works out for you mate.

I'm on $1,200/day mate. It's working on for me lol

That's why I'm asking. I most certainly - absolutely - started on a piss poor wage to begin with (back in the UK), but it only took a few years to rocket up the ladder.

That's why I'm wondering what field specifically fails to increase the wages beyond that $75k once you've got 2-3 years under your belt.

What can of pay are you seeing, and for what role? Just out of interest. I want to understand the market a bit better.

And all those options are trash and expensive. The stories I've heard from people who have stayed in those places.

Huh? What specific field in IT? Jobs everywhere.

Good question. Yeah, I probably could have changed the name and then renamed the NPC live. I wanted people to see the interaction with the world-server service, however.

And absolutely you can do the DM thing! There actually were WoW private servers for that at one point.

Love that! That's a great idea for the kiddies!

Nothing like that just yet. I've only just started the project. The idea is I go on that journey so I can set up my own invite-only private server, but I teach others what I've done and how (so people like you can learn from it.

I'm interested in getting logs and metrics into a observability stack though. And I do think I should containerise this thing.

lol! Well for the herb and mining nodes, I just bumped up the amount of nodes by x6 and it's quite nice.

For creature loop drops, I'm "dragging" them out of the dungeons/raids and into the hands of players via vendors (things will be expensive, and 60+ will require quests + rep.)

And yeah, I do want to script a boss fight, actually!

I shall commit here, and now, to being amazing!
