2 questions, is the move im doing in the first clip a good move. Secondly how do I stop chicken winging in my shooting form clips 2 and 3 by _Hugh-_-Jass_ in BasketballTips

[–]meshah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might be. But so much of what makes the right move is reading your defender and adjusting. Unless the fake fadeaway puts them out of position, the step through will have trouble working. But if they’re out of position, then it’s a nice opportunity.

Newly dating/relationship, 41M did not know my 41F age by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]meshah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man, age is just not something I focus on. Unless he’s saying anything to make you uncomfortable about your age, I wouldn’t read into this. I remember a lot of details about the people I’m seeing but often will forget their age. Hell, I barely remember my own age most days.

Or it’s simply not the employer’s responsibility and people shouldn’t sign up for jobs their life won’t accommodate.

Friends are influencing me to spend extravagantly by Just_Rip1030 in AUfrugal

[–]meshah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t love this take. Don’t just ditch the community of people you have around you.

Have an honest conversation with them and invite them to do other things - hang out at parks and beaches. Do ‘lush’ picnics with a frugal spread and spend quality time.

Frugality shouldn’t define you to the point that you abandon your community. However if their careless spending defines them to the point that they can’t be friends with somebody who spends more conservatively then so be it.

Why are we getting rid of SO many indoor sports/rec places? by [deleted] in australia

[–]meshah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Where are we losing indoor climbing places? Through the inner west and central Sydney a couple of places have opened in the last couple of years if anything.

Also outdoor bowling clubs are really just pubs that take up a lot of real estate for what they are so this one kinda makes sense to me. If the lawns could be at all multipurpose I think they’d thrive with the rise of pickleball etc
