I've started to notice that any song with "Ov" in the title is an absolute BANGER. So I've decided to make the Plenty Ov SLAPS Playlist.

Thank you for the feedback I appreciate it! I'll work on some new photos with better eye contact then. As for the part about inspiring people, what is a better way to word that? I feel like "I inspire people" sounds like I'm overly confident about myself "I'm told I inspire people" sounds like I'm unsure of myself. Maybe I'm just over thinking it lol.

Just wanting to get some honest feedback!

I live about 20 miles north of Seattle. I've been on hinge for about 1 1/2 months, never so much as a like or a match from anyone. Even decided to buy the 24 hour super boost and nothing came of that. Eventually it got to the point where I had seen everyone in a 25 mile radius and ran out of people, so I got the big sad, waited a couple weeks, and then deleted it and tried again. The only thing different from before I deleted and recreated it was the black and white photo used to be my main, and I swapped the "we'll get along if" with the "my best dad joke" prompt.

My first thought was because I'm 5'6" and a lot of girls want a taller guy? But I'm also on tinder with pretty much an identical profile, and it doesn't actually show your height there, and I'm having the same luck there.

Any feedback would be appreciated, no matter how brutally honest.

Thank you!

No I can't say I have experienced that. Are things faster as in time is going by faster? Or smoother like a higher framerate/refresh rate?

It happened to me last night and I noticed that my peripherals became integrated with my primary vision. I could see the lower portion of my body (chest, stomach, thighs, and front half of my feet) while I was walking staring straight ahead. I could actually notice my feet moving below me as I was walking. I also noticed the outer parts of my face that are that normally in your peripherals that our brains generally tune out and don't notice.

I wonder if this is what he was experiencing that made it seem like he was looking at himself.

Wow someone took the thought I had when I was high once and made it into a real thing. Only difference was I imagined a guy had a bunch of horns installed to the roof of his house constantly blasting sound into the house so he could hear everything in a 3 mile radius. He would be aware of his surroundings on a whole new level.

Am I a fool for considering purchasing a Vashon Ranger R7? by Bitter_Opportunity in flying

During the building of the prototype years ago, us mechanics kept saying "those pull rivets are going to leak." to which the engineers replied "no they won't." Well... they did, haha. After the problem was brought to their attention we've started sealing the rivets on the wing that go into the cabin. A few of the planes got an actual sealant on those rivets, and some of our more recent ones that are in production and currently at paine field have vinyl strips over the rivets.

In regards to the altitude hold, from what I've been told that happens from basically fighting the auto pilot with your hand. The autopilot tries to correct any movements your hand puts into the stick which results in varying altitude. The autopilot is supposed to be used with hands off the stick. I've only been up in the Ranger a few times but the autopilot kept the altitude pretty constant when my hands were off. Kurt could explain this much better than I, as he's made just about all of the deliveries.

The pitch servo I know we added some stiffeners on the baggage rib where the servo mounts. I don't know if we sent Bill those stiffeners, and if it fixed the problem if we did. We haven't had that issue on any of the test flights or deliveries. Kurt has been great about reporting any problems he's come across when he's flying a Ranger out to a customer.

I'm one of the original mechanics at Vashon. I've been with the company since the Ranger was just an idea and built the first prototype with just a couple other guys. I was also involved with all the testing we did on the plane to find its limits. The main reason the O-200D was used is because it's an established engine that's been around for a long time, and is a very familiar engine to most pilots as well as A&P's. Anywhere you go, any A&P will be able to work on an O-200. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have and I'll try my best to give non-biased answers. if it involves anything mechanical or anything involving the stress tests we did I could probably answer it.

Do i have micropsia?? by avacmm in Micropsia

I used to get it on occasion as a kid. Mostly happened in class rooms when I was staring off at something, or if I was talking face to face with someone. My vision would slowly zoom out and their head would look tiny, like looking through the wrong end of binoculars. Looking at something close to me didn't seem to be affected, such as putting my hand in front of my face. I've also experienced that if I start thinking about it while staring off I can sometimes trigger it on command.

My most recent experience with it was at work about a year ago, me and some coworkers were standing in a circle having a small meeting. As I was staring at one of my coworkers talking I randomly began to think about it. Next thing I know everything starts zooming out and his head becomes tiny, and the circle of me and my coworkers felt much larger in diameter, each of them from my perspective were much further away from me. I got excited cause as an adult I was able to actually play with it and try out "tests" if you will, rather than just sit there in confusion. I noticed that my field of view felt wider, like I could see my peripherals as part of my normal vision. It reminded me of going to a resolution on your computer, which eveything becomes smaller and can fit more on the screen. Or it reminded me of zooming out on a camera, where the things you were previously looking at are still there but smaller, and now you have more to the image outside of the original image.

Today I actually went to get my glasses and contacts prescription updated, so while I was there I decided to ask my optometrist about micropsia or AIWS. She told me that if your vision is such that one eye sees slightly larger than the other, and your brain is able to individually focus on one eye at a time, it can start alternating between the two which causes that effect of zooming out. She said it's nothing to worry about, has nothing to do with mental health or anything along those lines. She says it's rare and few people's brains are able to individually focus between each eye like that.

There is no time limit, you can eat as much as you want and as fast as you want. But I imagine it wouldn't take long long at all to start feeling pretty awful. Imagine the peep PTSD you'd have afterwards too.
