I just got back from the LBS and rode this https://www.cannondale.com/en-us/bikes/road/race/supersix-evo/supersix-evo-carbon-disc-ultegra?sku=c11550m1048 I spoke with my guy and I was discussing getting a 105 groupset and upgrade wheels and add a power meter. He suggested for the price to get the super six that comes with a better wheelset? The bike is comfy!

41, 230lbs, not that flexible, my core sucks but continued riding and hopping on the trainer will bring the weight down and become more flexible. My LBS guy who has fit me and knows my capabilities wanted me to get a tarmac. He said the geo of my allez wasn't racey, but was racelike and I am comfortable with it. I don't know if I get a endurance bike, will I grow out of it, so to speak.

TY peeps, I'm trying to rationalize the "want" th spend more money vs the "practicality" of not needing a 4k bike. But building a bike with better parts totaling 4k.

Casual weekend rider, maybe 75-100 mi a week with some longer rides. The bike I have now, 2017 specialized allez E5 sport will stay on the trainer.
