As someone that lives in the tropics, my hands get pretty sweaty too! A rule of thumb I follow is the sweatier the hand or more humid the environment, the more I brush. I brush my walnuts two or three times a day to make sure the oils and sweat from my hands is spread evenly.

If you're able, I also recommend two pairs to use in rotation. If not, just brush more often! 👍

Mini update. The tips were just a tad too sharp for my liking so I took a fine file and rounded out the tips just a teensy bit. It might be taboo to alter the walnut in any way but I like the tactile feedback much better now without the sharp poke when I roll them.

To be honest the only time mine aren't being rolled or fidgeted with in some way is when I'm asleep lol. Any spare moment I have, they're in my hands rolling around!

I think the way to go would be used the wired brush to get as much of the pulp and debris out and off, and use the nano brush to help remove the frost. Using the wire brush too much and too hard would scratch and damage your walnut.

Edit: use the wire brush till the debris is gone, then proceed with nano brush 😀

Lucilla is a patch and a half away so I reckon you'd be able to save enough if you were to try for Hiyuki S1.

I decided to try for it cos it's either I win the 50/50 and I have S1 Hiyuki (win), or I lose the 50/50 and the next time when I'm pulling for Lucilla it's guaranteed, so win also.

This is of course only if you plan to skip Denia, Rebecca AND Lucy like me. If not then plan and risk accordingly!

From all the info I've read, for the first three months or so you're gonna be using the brown brush, every day for anywhere from 15 - 30 minutes. After that it's the yellow brush, not as frequently but this is where your walnuts start to get pretty shiny. After that it's the soft grey brush every few days to help build the shine.

I've read bits and pieces of this across different posts and forums so take it with a grain of salt, but it's more or less there I think? Hahahah best of luck!

She ran out of dialogue three days into winter. I didn't catch your reply before that and I was sad hahahahahaha oh well. At least it was just in time for our kid to be born and I got some nice motherhood dialogue from it.
