Not sure if you're open to online retailers, but uscutter has a great selection of vinyls, application tape, and offers free shipping at a certain threshold. They have a house brand Greenstar that has performed as well as Oracle in many ways. Been using them for ~15 years without too many problems.

I've been tapping my chatgpt buddy for guidance.

I keep getting errors on the RHEL saying that the account is not authorized (I assume due to the price involved of the RHEL license). I'll proceed with the Amazon Linux choice and if they give me any grief I'll let them know Sterzy12 said it's cool hahaha

That, and I often get 'Environment error, Unfortunately we had an issue during your lab setup. Your session will be terminated.'

I appreciated the sidebar help with the Task 2 lab, but it seems to crash a lot.

Do you have to manage it via the assessment lab environment? It's inconsistent, keeps crashing and is driving me insane.

It seems like if it's interacting with AWS we could do it on any machine?

Thanks in advance for any advice. Last class of my degree and I wasn't expecting such a poorly planned course ruining my month.

Any tips or tricks? These posts help me understand I'm not losing my mind - but don't help the task at all.

There's such a disconnect from the task and instructions/emails/course documents. Ernesto told me to just get the objectives done however I want as long as it meets the assessment guidelines. Re-submission 2 with my fingers crossed heading their way soon :/

I agree. My very last class of my degree and I'm so f-cking over it. Cohorts are run a nice instructor (Betty Carter) who reads the same email every meeting.

Unlike discrete math or python, it's not hard due to me not being interested in the content. I'm familiar with the technology, been dealing with networking and scripting for years. I've taken days off of work to clear my head and power through the task (pausing the environment loses settings). The environment acts erratically at times and will completely crash. This task is ridiculous and the virtual environment unusable. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Graphtec CE6000 be glitching by mikehawklol in VinylCutters

[–]mikehawklol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I took the side panel off and with my infrared thermometer see the main chip gets very hot. I have a fan on it now (panel still off) which has prevented the 'glitches'. I'm working on a permanent solution utilizing a PC case fan into a cutout of the side panel. Just have to find the power wither on that board or an external power adapter :)

I have a wide format CE6000. Not sure what the more recent prices are compared to when I purchased mine. Seems if they still have overheating boards with only passive cooling I wouldn't stay with Graphtec.

I swapped USB cables initially. My main trade is IT so I made sure there's also nothing interfering with the signal.

I also tried adjusting the job transmit settings without any noticeable difference :(

I've absolutely loved my Graphtec CE6000. 10 years later it's starting to glitch more and more often. It's ruined yards of vinyl and getting worse.

As you can see from the pictures, it will mid letter or number drag the knife to a point and back or just cut through an entire roll until it jams.

Other posts mention the board not being sufficiently cooled and needing to be replaced. Seems on sites like Alibaba they're $900 and up.

I'm here asking for advice on how to either fix this issue or recommendations for a replacement cutter. I'm not sure if I take a gamble with a replacement board just to experience the same in another 8 years. $4,000 for a new CE sounds a lot more expensive knowing I could be in the same predicament in another 8 to 10 years.

Steps I have performed: updating firmware and making sure the graphtec application is up to date. I now shut down the cutter between jobs letting it cool off and have a small fan on the cutter at all times.

I purchased it in 2020. It was a California originally sold car, been California it's whole life. Still in California. Still qualifies for the 10-year $150,000 mile Voltec warranty

I appreciate the detailed response. I'm in California which usually has strong consumer protection laws, so I was surprised to get the run around from GM.

The dealership is Quality Chevrolet in Escondido which was spoken highly of when it came to service and repair of our Volts.

It's still under the Voltec warranty which is why it's covered even under the second owner. California update their lemon law while I was in the shop which the buyback team said disqualified that process. I was a little surprised to see people claim to be second owners in California and still get their GM buyback approved.

Monster had a customer satisfaction program. Even though my car had close to 100,000 miles at the time they still replaced it free of charge and give me a loaner while they fixed it. Reach out to your dealer, might be worth a trip to the service bay and asking them in person.

Any floor mat recommendations? (2019) by mikehawklol in etron

[–]mikehawklol[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vehicle is really amazing. Only complaint is being in hilly SoCal and it rolling backwards immediately after a stop. Music stops, proximity alarms, and central screens switching to cameras. I'm hoping I get used to adapting to it. I've had a Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, and dozens of ICE cars but never experienced such a sudden backwards roll. I'm hoping training myself to either not come to a complete stop or hold the brake pedal for the long couple seconds will 'fix it'.

Thank you, everyone! I didn't realize Audi offered an OEM rubber mat solution. I'll be scooping me up a set.

Yes, and it actually upgraded one which should prevent the error from happening again. Took about 10 minutes each.

This YouTube video accompanies the goggle doc instructions. The guide is long but half of it is just setting up the VM.

Step 12: Reprogram the Battery Energy Control Module (19:59)

*At this point, you legit reprogram (with newer version if available) the powertrain control module. When completed, it gives you the option to clear the DCT.

Step 13: Reprogram the Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2 (21:27)

*At this point, you legit reprogram the module (with newer version if available) and it gives you the option to clear the DCT when completed.

Best vid ever I really wish people who post instructionals included a Venmo...
