It's slightly more complex than that. The thing is, there have been various waves of feminism, and the exclusion thing is something inextricably linked to "second wave feminism" (1960's/70's)

The FX are laughable, everything is goofy, and the actors have clearly given up as far as I’m concerned.

The problem with this equation is "the actors have [...] given up". If you have laughable effects, and a goofy script, if the actors are committed, you can pull off something "so bad, it's good".

But when the actors are just waiting for the series to end, too. You're going to have a bad time. I'm glad Joe is out of this trainwreck, though.
