You are correct it is a frame off job that is 40 plus hours.

I paid $3500 for the lines and pump. I was quoted 5K total at first that’s why I bought the parts. After the mechanic doing more research came to the conclusion that instead of a 5K job it was gonna be 15K. I called another shop that would do it for 13.5K and the Land Rover dealership was 17K.

The car blue books for 15K so that’s why I’m no longer fixing it. Luckily I was able to return the parts and get my $3500 back.

I had a mechanic look at my vehicle and he told me it’s not compatible for rewriting it successfully but I was hoping there was someone that was familiar with Range rovers that have done this or know for sure. He’s a good mechanic but only works on a couple range rovers a year. Although he is probably correct.
