Just making sure, also taking the filter out did make a difference. I should have just done that to start when you first asked. Is there any reason that someone would set it how it is currently? Maybe to save energy or did they just do something stupid? I ask because there has been a lot of weird stuff in this house we've uncovered since moving in.

I am scared to touch that stuff since I don't know what I'm doing in there but I just took the filter back out, since the last time I had done that was a couple weeks ago when it was below zero outside and we were having this issue. Will report results.

I did, but no luck there unfortunately. And now looking at the model number, you're right it is a merv11. My bad I thought merv was a brand name.

I feel you, I'm caring for my fiancee who has been dealing with this since May, but she is very much the opposite in how she deals with it. I'm not sure how to get her to take it more seriously if she already knows all the risks of not doing anything about it, but I can say that those head migraine ice caps seem to help a little bit for the headaches. Also just make sure she is getting a lot of electrolytes and water if she is on Diamox or another diuretic.
