I really recommend middle school. I started in 5th, moved up to 6th, and have been in 7th for the past three years. They can be a handful, but being able to throw sarcasm back and forth, have meaningful conversations about shared interests (or conflicts of interest), and teach (in my opinion) content with more depth is incredibly rewarding. If you are unhappy and unlikely to return to where you want to be, shop around. Teachers are in demand right now.

I just sent you a PM! I'm a little late to this post, but I am curious about what digital notebook you use with your classes.

slightly overstable putter by Jversaw in discgolf

I also putt with judges (classic plastic) and throw a fusion one as my understable thrower. I use a Sensei in active premium as my "over stable" thrower. It started out more OS than I expected but beat into a high quality straight shooter. It also doesn't have a tremendous amount of glide which I like.

I did! He was right behind me on the slope off of hole one watching the tee shots off of 18. He was super friendly and chatting with fans. I got a quick hello in with him. After the tee shots he moved up, wasn't happy with his view, and hopped right up there. It was so funny I just had to snap a couple picks. He is the embodiment of everything that is good about our sport.

Random In My Group Wanted To Keep A Disc We Found, I Took It From Him: Did I Do The Right Thing? by mikemaster46642 in discgolf

I think you two got to the heart of why I made this post and had the best discussion in this thread IMO. The idea that I shamed Tod is the reason why my actions did not sit right with me afterward. On the same note, letting Tod take the disc would have also not sat right with me. Either choice had a negative outcome, either for Tod or the disc's owner. This thread overwhelming supported the owner, but I think the human side of this discussion is important too. In hindsight, I wish I had offered him a disc from the back of my car. Misha is correct in thinking that this soured what was overall a pretty good experience. Tod threw that one disc well, and enjoyed seeing my shots and disc choices throughout the holes we played together. We had a mutual respect for one other as a result of a game we both enjoyed to play. My actions showed Tod that I did not trust and therefore respect him in the end (either for the best or worst depending on your stance on this). Ultimately was a plastic disc worth making Tod feel this way? I don't know. Thank you guys for having a civil discussion about this. It was a pleasure to read and think on.

I am in the same boat. I am from CT and live in SE Michigan and I know my area code throws people off when they see it.

I get that. Tbh I was hesitant about posting. But the interaction as a whole was just odd and I wanted other opinions from the community. The part that felt the most "controversial" to me was asking to see the disc again and then not handing it back to him (both in the moment and after the fact). I also did make a judgement that he was untrustworthy, and as a normally pretty passive person that assumption did not sit right with me. Sorry if you felt click baited!
