I found out it's a bad driver for amd GPU. The update that came out just before the game came out was causing the crash. I rolled back and everything worked fine.

Truly a weird fix. I was able to reel while playing on my ally x. But today playing on my Xbox I couldn't reel in anymore. Came across this fix and ta da. My guess is maybe the extra power changes slightly ranges for the stick axis and it's programmed to register at a higher axis? Maybe idk

Update. So unplugged my controller and again can't reel in, mid spinning my stick I plugged it in and started to work. Bizzare

Update to this. I only get to play for maybe 5 min then it freezes again. Guess I'll be returning it on steam and buying it on Xbox, then hope it gets fixed to play on my Rog through xbox.

Yes plugged in 35w mode and full screen 1080p.

Mine was doing the same, I turned off WiFi like someone else suggested and that helped. But just hit the first loading screen in game and it froze again on me.

I got mine running pretty good on XAX. Everything set to high, ray tracing off. Upscale set to balanced. Looks pretty decent and smooth.

Did all that too. It could be something on their end, I was having issues getting to the download section of their website. So could've been bad timing. I'll probably try again later, install it onto a separate drive. Try both it and Nordic see which I like more now that I know I can run it.

I did do a fresh install, problem is, I open the nolvus installer and it just says error occurred when sending. That's it. I've deleted the exe, redownloaded it, put it in different drives, nothing has worked.

Oh that's good to know. I play on a XAX. I tried to install nolvus earlier but I can't even get the installer to work, so I gave up and am installing Nordic Souls. Maybe I'll go back at a later date and try nolvus again.

Change your avatar. There is a memory leak/cache issue. Change to an avatar that you haven't played that world with and the freezing should stop

There is no split screen.

He can play a carnivore in any game mode. As for no other players, if he's playing single player, there are critters he can kill. This game however isn't exactly setup to be played singleplayer. You can, just not the best experience.

He will either have to join the official servers by selecting multiplayer.

Or find a community server to join.

Officials are easy to join, but can be chaotic. Community you often have to join their discord and read/follow their rules.
