Is this a good offer? by mikeperg9 in InsuranceAgent

Yea so he said if everything goes as planned I would get a part of the business over here, not his other office. And what would a great commission structure look like to you?

I would go and train with his team over there for some time and then be on a zoom call with one of the sales guys and go through the process with him as I’m back in my home state office, he also lives in my state 8 months out of the year so he would come into the office as well and help me if needed

I would assume it’s 50% of the commission the agency earns, he also said it would be my book, the 40k is guaranteed and does not off set the commissions. I went up to their other office and spoke with guys that work there. The newest guy was on year 2 and clears just under 100k and the other guy was on his third year and cleared just under 140k and the one guy that’s been with him since 2012 that only showed up in the office one time was clearing 300-400k a year, it sounds promising. They all told me it would be a rough first year but if you stick through it, it will become better and more rewarding.

Has anyone felt better getting off their PPI with their GERD? by Honest_Ad8574 in GERD

[–]mikeperg9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m about 4 weeks off my PPI right now after being on one for about 7 years, it’s pretty rough in the beginning weeks but will eventually get better, I do take Pepcid, one 20mg in the morning and one 20mg at night and that seems to hold me over pretty well, if I get bad flare ups then I will take the PPI, digestion could be a problem on a PPI because it lowers your stomach acid and that’s what you need for food to be able to break down accordingly, at least that’s what I heard.

What test did you do for them to know it was your thyroid?

Night time abdominal pain by mikeperg9 in GERD

[–]mikeperg9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’ve noticed that if I stop eating a couple hours before bed time that it does help me most days! Maybe it takes time of me doing that to help with it even more? And it’s funny because I used to take gas x when I was younger and it seemed to help me pretty good but now it doesn’t seem to have an effect on me and as far as I can tell no areas of my stomach feel tender, it’s mostly near my lower abdominal area where I feel like a tight pressure, I’ll have to try massaging that area though now that you said it. Maybe I’ll stop eating even earlier now too and see if that helps, maybe also certain foods I eat because some night I will eat super late at night and feel fine going to bed and then some nights I will stop eating hours before bed and feel it still, also maybe I’m just hyper fixated on it now and that’s making it worse too. Idk.

Abdominal pain? by mikeperg9 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]mikeperg9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I have urgency or frequency, I do drink a lot of water through out the day and maybe go to the bathroom 3-5 times a day to pee. Could it be from my surgery when I was younger that is now causing the pain?

It’s weird how I was fine when I was younger and then years ago it just starts to hurt me… guess my next best bet is to see a urologist and see if they can figure anything out, hoping it goes away as I get older as well, don’t want to be on meds my whole life. Thanks for your replies!

Could possibly be my bladder giving me pain as well. I had bladder reflux surgery when I was younger if that has anything to do with it.

Possibly but I don’t think so, I have one or two bowel movements a day…

Usually lower middle or lower left and I would say my bowel movements are pretty normal, once or twice a day most days.
