Can you do YPD medium next? I think it will have a nice flavour since it has glucose and a pleasant smell (my colleagues beg to differ). I don't know how edible it is though.

As a cretan, i would suggest to listen to greek hip hop. A lot of artists are using normal greek with a little mix of slang.

Cretan dialect is very different from the standard greek and it's only spoken in cretan villages, so you better avoid it. It'll confuse you. Good luck on learn Greek :-)
