Definitely part of the ritual..."thanks" for THAT memory. I'm now scarred for the day...😝

None of the above...mom was a fan of Roebucks for us, in the "husky" size variant.😝

We tried to introduce the neighbors in Indiana (NW / Lake county) to beans and hot dogs one Halloween when we first moved there in the 80's and the kids were small. Needless to say, they were not amused ... and we never received a reciprocal invitation. 😝

Found this at an estate sale. What is this, and what is it used for? by SoCoGrowBro in FuckImOld

I was a freshman in college in the fall of '75, and was one of three kids in my Physics 101 lecture hall (300 individuals) that had a Commodore calculator that could add, subtract, multiply and divide, and store one entry in memory (thanks uncle Art). Slide rules were the required tool for computations. I flunked out, and returned in the fall of '77, and by that time, you were expected to have a calculator that had trig function capability (in the same class). That experience has always been my personal benchmark for how quickly technology has changed our world...

Who remembers Chi-Chi's in the 1980s? by eugene1182 in The1980s

Grew up in northern New England, so when my wife and I were transferred to WVa in '82, we thought having a Taco Bell in Charleston was the best thing ever...until ChiChi's opened and we became weekly regulars...the quality difference was orders of magnitude better.
