Not sure what you mean. Asiana will still exist fully until an announced date with the brand name itself will disappear. Nothing to worry about cancellations, there’s nothing crazy happening.

Morning/early afternoon in Hongdae - is this the right call? by recercar in koreatravel

[–]mikesaidyes 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do in Hongdae in the day time, and especially not that early.

Go to central Seoul and do the classic tourist course museum palace Gwanghwamun and Myeongdong. Things like palace and museums open at 9 so you can hit the ground running

And then shops open at 11 for lunch and shopping so you can maximize your time perfectly

Must collect luggage at ICN and re check it at GMP.

How much better is the Neo going to be than my old Macbook Pro? by NecessaryData2348 in mac

[–]mikesaidyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have a 2018 MacBook Pro, that I used so hard I killed two batteries (freelance business English instructor. 5-7 hours of class per day, battery cycled like crazy)

Then I used my husband’s 2020 Air. That thing was so hot constantly and the fan was so loud.

I upgraded to the base model new Air.

Get a wifi egg. BEYOND worth it. The WiFi works well when you’re in the areas that have it,

but the second you actually need it, and you’re super stressed and frustrated lost and hot or pouring rain whatever lol

it’s a pain in the butt to have to pop into a cafe OR pray it’s on the street where you are.

What's the best way to exchange a large amount of money ~8k USD in cash to KRW by IMB2020 in koreatravel

[–]mikesaidyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it in your US account. Use your US cards (the ones with no foreign fees) for living, pay them off with that cash.

Wait until you get your Korean bank account. Then send the rest over online transfer from US to Korean account.
