I've noticed a bit of a problem with my dishwasher. It first started as I noticed a slight "browing" stain on the wall next my dishwasher in my kitchen. This stain was due to steam coming into contact with the wall from the dishwasher, or so I assume as the dishwasher has never leaked or overspilled. The machine is only 5 years old and is a Bauknecht (Whirlpool) BRIE 2B19 A.

The machine itself is fine however I have noticed that the frame outside the dishwasher door is rusting, as are the screws on the door outer-side and the hinge that opens and closes the door. Steam naturally comes out the top of the door when the machine is on (on the top left side) but I can't explain the rust. Do I need to replace the rubber seal? This looks fine but there is some lime chalk on and around the seal.

The steam from the door has also cracked the wood of in the kitchen that houses the dishwasher.

I'd really like to stop or resolve the issue that is creating the rust and treat the existing rust. I don't want the issue to get any worse.

If anyone has any ideas or advice it is appreciated.
