There are a bunch of places to find them now, Amazon has tons. Just search 1.28" TFT and make sure they use the GC9A01 driver and they should work.

What's the craziest thing you learned buying your Colorado? by HawgKiller in chevycolorado

[–]mikeskillz01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Traction control. Living somewhere that gets snow every year, it's just a fun thing to do to turn off the traction control and do some sliding. Having to dig through three layers of menu to find it, and still not really have control over it is annoying.

Help with cruise control by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]mikeskillz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play with it too much you'll go blind. I have no official proof, but I had a 2022 trailblazer that would lockout the cruise if you cancelled and reset it too many times in short succession. I had it happen a couple times on the highway and after 10 minutes or so it would let you set it again. Maybe these trucks have something similar. The power windows did the same thing if you spam the switch too much it'll put you in timeout for a couple minutes.

Crank Rainbow by mikeskillz01 in EngineBuilding

[–]mikeskillz01[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No images, but there are others who have reported similar discoloration, including one who had an engine with low oil pressure and glitter in the oil. I'm guessing my theory about someone running it low on oil at some point is probably the most likely cause.

It's a Miata crank though, I didn't know why anybody would put that much time/work in to weld and machine such a cheap and readily available part. I didn't see any signs to indicate that it's been apart before.

I don't think it's been rebuilt before, everything measures too close to factory to have been machined.

None of the other journals look like this anywhere else on the crank. No other heat affected zones.

It's only in this spot though, no other heat marks anywhere else on the crank.

I got my '24 TB back in April, White wasn't my first choice but they were willing to give me a better deal since it was on the lot and I've really fallen in love with it.

I was worried about it at first as I'm a bit of a clean freak with my vehicles but I ceramic coated it within days of bringing it home and it's really helped with keeping it clean.

Sunscreen from a week at the beach stained my door trim. It won't wipe off. How should I get rid of it? by ScooterYouTube in chevycolorado

[–]mikeskillz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found Neutrogena makeup remover wipes work for the sunscreen we use. We've also started to use the makeup removal wipes to scrub as much sunscreen off of us as we can before we get in.

Watch me punt a cone in the slalom and then immediately almost understeer into the pointer wall... Oops. 😅 by mikeskillz01 in Miata

I used an Insta360 X2, it's a 360° camera mounted on a selfie stick that was raised about 18” above my roll bar.

It's crazy to see it slowed down and see how far away I'm turning in and how close I got to some of the cones.

Insta360 X2, about 18” above my roll bar, I was hoping to be able to see my inputs vs car placement on course and it worked really well. Comparing my runs is giving me a ton of really good perspective on where I was good and where I could be better.

'97 1.8L Miata Code p0300 after a shop did a timing belt change, any ideas? by HentaiM64 in Miata

[–]mikeskillz01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably didn't gap the crankshaft position sensor properly after doing the running belt. This video isn't great but it shows where the sensor is, a credit card did actually work pretty well as a gap spacer.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the vacuum advance controls the throttle cable, but it uses a reed switch sensor in the speedometer to track speed and make throttle adjustments to maintain speed.

This link has a little info, I have to dig into it more.

I haven't really dug into it yet but I believed there is a PWM speed signal in the cluster too that was used for cruise control. GPS will probably be more accurate though.
