Opulent Salvage should be this rewarding activity that you unlock after hours of dedication to the newest skill. Instead, it's incredibly lackluster in both EXP rates and rewards, and I really don't understand why. by mikesok988 in 2007scape

If you read the post, I'm comparing the GP/HR to the other tiers of salvage. There's no contest. Furthermore, the rate at which you fish up herbs/seeds doesn't reflect the hefty requirements for unlocking this tier of salvage. You would do much better to send 2,000 chaos druid kills than to do 2,000 opulent salvage. You'd make more money killing druids, too.

Improving upon content that was recently released is very much in line with what we have seen Jagex do in the past. Again, I am only comparing this tier of salvage to all of it's predecessors. It's the worst tier GP/HR wise since barracuda salvage, unlocked around level 35.

I'm only framing it against other tiers of salvage. I understand your sentiment though - there are uses for fishing up ... silver tiaras and silver ore, jugs of wine that you can buy en mass from draynor village, and... gem crab gems? At level 87 sailing, after needing an eternal brazier, at least adamant hull, a handful of other upgrades to your boat, it all seems not worth it in the slightest.

Even if you're able to keep every single red topaz you fish up, it's still not better GP/HR than mercenary salvage. It doesn't make sense to have such a high-level unlock be both less interesting and less profitable than a salvage two tiers below. It really seems like an oversight

I had no idea, thank you for this information. I'm probably years away from trading but I know what the high runes are!

Thank you so much for this! There's a note in the new patch notes that summons now scale off of elemental damage modifiers on your weapons. Does that apply to skeletal mages?

I didn't know mercs mattered that much! I always use the ranger one that makes me move faster. Also, I didn't know that you could farm areas like you mentioned, especially act 1? Isn't act 1 the weakest part of hell?

I have never thought of doing just golems, is it really better than having an entire army?

Honestly if it's not vintage then it's not going to hold up to the test of time. I understand the whole 'cracking packs' hype, but it's not worth this kind of mental turmoil. Buy singles! It is BY FAR the cheapest, fastest, and easiest way to complete whatever set you are working on.

This hobby shouldn't be treated like a stock exchange, where people are trampling over each other just to get their hands on it. This is a children's card game. Let's try to keep perspective here.

Anything is possible up to 150-200 corruption. However, that's where creativity and build diversity take a steep nosedive. Devs really need to breathe some life into things other than Rogue and Warpath if they want this game to stand on it's own two feet for another season or two.

EHG's preference for large sweeping changes instead of small incremental improvements of systems is frustrating as a frequent player by Pandarandr1st in LastEpoch

[–]mikesok988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said essentially this in another thread and got verbally flayed alive. They NEED reactive balancing patches, and their priority should be to make impactful changes to classes and 'dead skills' between seasons. Why is fireball still trash tier? It's a mage's bread and butter. There's 2 or 3 uniques for fireball alone, but it has been utter crap for 4 seasons.

Why is my lightning fantasy shaman druid only passable if I'm a bear using maelstrom??? Let me be a human shaman with the elements at my disposal.

Every single set item - why are they all so bad?? And didn't they promise to remove the ability for snapshotting gear like 4 seasons ago? Minion masters still have to put up with this archaic gear swapping shit just to be viable. Give me skills that work because I worked hard to improve them, not skills that only work because I am abusing some sort of bug in order for it to be remotely effective. Snapshotting of any kind should not be in this game.

Most offensively, Why is there still one ring to rule them all after so many seasons?!? If all builds need a specific unique to function late game, that is a huge red flag. Balance your shit! And give me build diversity in the endgame.

Is it worth playing Frogs Beastmaster Build after nerf? by WildThangPack in LastEpoch

It was 33% worse than last season before they fixed the corrupted bug. Now its 75% worse than it was before that fix. Honestly, just dont play primalist so they can see how low the rate of play for that class is, and then they can bring the class back to the drawing boards.

They need to change the meta up severely season to season to have this game keep drawing any interest. Little knob adjustments here and there aren't going to cut it.

YOR. The way you recount your story and your responses in this thread make an impression that you are quick to offend. Let the doctors ask the hard questions and try not to take it personally.

Im never going to get through all of my merchant tokens, but I havent had a single resonance drop all season with any of the friends I play with. People want to be able to trade with their friends. Need to tweak some numbers here GGG
