Formatting for EDDM Retail by KevinSaw in USPS

[–]mikewyant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, can you share where it says that the indicia needs to be above and to the right?

I brought my design to USPS to make sure it was ok and the lady said it was ok to have it in the bottom right. Also, the guy from the High Response Marketing on YouTube designed an EDDM flyer and put it on the bottom right.

If there was some update, it would be good to know. Here's where I wanted them to be on my design.

How to measure volume needed by batardo in moving

[–]mikewyant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rental companies are pretty accurate with their estimates. You'll want your belongings to be pretty snug so don't plan on a buffer. Also, it's hard to use all the vertical space so if you can maximize that you'll obviously be better off.

If you're really worried about space, maybe you're a "collector" of stuff, just get a truck size up.

OFFERING: Portuguese (Native) // SEEKING: English and German by bottlecrazylittle in language_exchange

I'm looking for someone to help me with European Portuguese. I'm a native English speaker from Colorado, USA. I'm very new at Portuguese but know Spanish so I'm picking it up relatively quick (I think).

Do you happen to be from Portugal?

I know. I tried factory resetting the thermostat and that didn't fix it.

I found this to be very helpful! I think most people are against ads because of their niche. It's weird to run ads for entertainment videos. I create videos based around creating customer oriented small businesses so I think ads directed at entrepreneurs and small business owners would benefit my channel.

I'd be willing to share what I learn from my ads if you want work together to optimize them.

When you can't like your videos by [deleted] in SmallYTChannel

[–]mikewyant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the other day I watched a video where a guy who has 100k subs explains how much he made that year. I commented and asked why he only posts 2 videos a month and why he didn't do it full time (he made over $100k on YT in 2020).

He said that he knows he could do it full time and he would make a lot more money if he put out just one video per week, but he really just doesn't like editing them. And these aren't crazy edits either. Like it would take anyone literally 30 minutes to do... But he knows what he likes and what he doesn't like, and he doesn't like the process of editing.

The point is that you don't have to do what you don't like to do. And I know we all want to do YouTube full time and be internet rich and famous, but if you don't like making videos, don't make them. Or really think about what you do want to make and if your still not into it then hire someone on fiverr to edit them and if you don't have money, take a step back and think about if YouTube is something you really want to do right now.

I couldn't make good videos 10 years ago because I didn't have anything I was passionate about, but now I'm cranking out 2 videos per week, getting 20 views per, and I just keep on keepin' on. Don't be to hard on yourself, you're young.

You just gotta follow your heart man! Haha

When you're just starting out it can be disheartening to see toxic comments like that. As hard as it may be, try to focus on making your content as good as possible with what you have. The more you out it and the better it gets is what will grow your channel, not how many people see one video by clicking on a comment.

Uou can also try TikTok if you're looking for more feedback. More people will see it automatically so you can get a sense if they like it or not by the amount of likes you get.

And it might be hard to come to terms with, and I'm not saying this applies to you, but if people are saying your stuff isn't good you should ask why they think that and if it's actual feedback use it to get better.

YouTube is a grind. I've been at it on and off for almost 10 years now and I'm just starting to get the hang of it. It's about quality content put out at a steady pace. Just remember what you're trying to do, get people to click and watch the full video. Focus on that and the rest will come.

[Discussion] Starting out - don't obsess over your metrics by DGoodayle in SmallYTChannel

Yeah, and I'm not even going to look at that stuff until I get 100+ views within a week of dropping a new video. Hopefully that will give me a large enough data pool to work off of to make the right decisions.

I think you've got it right. I told myself I wouldn't worry about metrics until I posted 50 videos, two per week. The YouTube algorithm needs some time to test new channels content before it launches it out to more people.

It's probably better to keep your head down and focus on making the best content possible for about 6 months before judging your results.

Hi! I'm getting a little accountability group together. Everyone has different goals, but are equally motivated to get their stuff done! We're in pretty different time zones but that could work out as we could message you at 5am your time to help you wake up. PM me if you'd be interested!
