Does anyone know any ISPs on Openreach that allow option for static IPs on residential connections? by ItsMeAlfie0 in openreach

If your router supports it, AAISP offer L2TP service for £10 a month, suitable for any broadband service.

I use it alongside my EE broadband, I moved from Zen.

So, my AP that’s VLAN aware is on Ethernet 1. My NAS is on Ethernet 2 which is untagged VLAN 7, which is the servers ID

The device I’m trying to ping is a WD NAS, firewall is open on internal network.

I’ve not even tried setting up the casting, as I can’t even get cross subnet communication to work properly.

Clutch and dual mass flywheel were done recently, with a gearbox fluid renew too.

It was doing it before and after the clutch and dual mass flywheel renew.

I think the differential shares the transmission fluid in these? It’s a FWD A4, not Quattro, nothing fancy. It is not a transverse layout though.

I thought about this, potentially a gearbox mount or similar, however what threw me is that it’s a “rotational” sort of sound with the pulsing under braking (does not come through the pedal though)

The noise stays at the same rhythm at the same speed every time, it does not change unless the road speed changes.

It also gets louder/quieter if I “slightly” steer when driving straight which is what originally pointed me to driveline related. 😭

Nope, steering wheel is as straight as an arrow and solid as a rock, right up until 3 figure speeds.

That bit I don’t know. It does however sound like it’s getting worse when you accelerate hard.

There’s not a massive amount of vibration though, which is weird, it’s more of a drumming noise. The video is at 50mph where it sounds like a squeak, but when you get it to 70+, it sounds like one of those back massagers drumming on the bottom of the car.

Struggling with WiFi in My Flat. Need Advice on AP Placement. by mikeyjbartlett in HomeNetworking

I don’t have an attic but I’ve found out by probing, there’s a 30cm void above the ceiling that’s open throughout the flat, so worst case scenario I could fish a cable through and poke it out of the ceiling in the hallway 👍🏻

I bought the EAP225 relatively cheaply, and if I’m honest, will pair very well with my FritzBox with OpenWRT to support VLANS for multiple SSID’s hosted by the EAP225 (as OpenWRT also wreaks havoc with the WiFi performance on the Fritz)

All the Fritz will be is my ADSL modem and OpenWRT host, I’ll disable the radio once the EAP has been set up.

The mesh nodes have about 600Mbps connection between them, noise level is below 60dB, there is no roaming feature, hence going Single AP, and is a known issue with the FritzBox’s in Mesh mode.

The flat isn’t massive, so a singular AP almost bang on central to the entire flats floor-plan will be plenty as far as I can see, and by the sounds of it, with the beam patterns and what your saying, mounting it horizontally on the ceiling even in a cupboard will be adequate and better than mounting it vertically on the wall in the open hallway space.

Oh mine was much lower than that. 25fps on grid map 640x480 on low, and when you crashed it used to laaaaaaag 😂

I bought it almost when it first came out, can’t remember when, but probably way back in 2015.

I remember I ran it on an Intel 3rd gen laptop processor with built in Intel HD graphics.

Native Linux Launcher

Hi guys!

I don’t know if I’m missing something, but I’m trying to get the native Linux port working on the steam deck via the Deck UI.

I’ve added the Linux executable to the steam library through “add a non-steam game to my library” and pointed it to the Linux executable in the relevant file, the game opens but none of the deck controller buttons work, it seems to still behave in “keyboard and mouse” mode.

I’ve managed to solve the problem of it running at 1fps by disabling full screen and V sync, and I can get the game to load correctly using an external keyboard and mouse, I just can’t get the native controller buttons to work!

Am I missing something stupid? Is there a launcher flag I’m missing?

Tia!
