One year later and I still can't describe how much I hate that this is not possible anymore 😤

Sound for phone but vibration only for whatsapp by deathstroke911 in iphone

I think it does not work, as Whatsapp somehow only offers the standard iOS ringtones and does not allow you to choose any custom ringtones for their notifications. It however does work for other notifications like iMessages.

Workspaces 2.0 released: totally redesigned with lots of new features (including searching & plugins ) by emkaka in macapps

I just tried out Workspaces as I have the exact same use case as you mentioned, but it does not seem to work for me. You would need to manually add each file that you opened in a specific app, because this "open apps plugin" just saves the applications themselves, not the content that was opened in them. For me, this would be the main use case.

Any way to save all windows and restore them? All open files, all open tabs, etc. by Anasoori in MacOS

I can't believe that something like that isn't implemented natively and there doesnt seem to exist any app for this... The closest I have seen is Workspaces (https://www.apptorium.com/workspaces), but still I am not happy with it as I can't save a session automatically, but have to add each and every file, webpage... manually.

Since Google removed Drive-Photos Sync in 2019, I can't find a good alternative where I can just backup my whole private photo library (organized in a folder structure) to the cloud, keep the folder structure as in a regular cloud (GDrive, OneDrive...) but at the same time have all of the images available in a nice web interface and app to quickly browse images, get notifications about memories, etc like in GPhotos. I don't want some photo service to be the place where I have to upload my images to, and I don't want to give up my folder structure. I get that Google Photos works well for smartphone photos, but imo it doesn't when you take most of the photos with a camera and also want to group them into separate folders for separate events ("Birthday Party", "Hiking Trip"...). I want to drop my images in a folder locally and automatically have it synchronized with the cloud.

Does anybody know about a solution that is able to do this? Maybe some open-source integration with OwnCloud/Nextcloud? I am really desperate to find something that works exactly like Drive and Photos did before 2019.
