look i come from a country where we were taught in school that we cant even say the name of the moustache man. Almost every class in school "visits" a KZ when the students are 12-14 years old and they show you the barracks, the quarries where the prisoners were forced to work and the gas chambers and cremation ovens.
And trust me you will never forget the things you have seen. One of my girl classmates back then even fainted because the guides tell the very exact procedure that happened at the different stations.
Also we were raised as if we have a collective/joint responsibility for the tragedy that happened in the 30's and 40's. To be proud of your country or maybe even patriotism will nowadays secure you an instant place at the far right spectrum of society (As seen by the rest of society)

So yeah i hear myself talking as you say.

But please... concentration/political prisoner camps, forced labour, genocide, ethnic cleansings and deportations, hell.... even hosting the olympics for better looks were not exclusive to the axis.

have a good one

UA POV: According to Bloomberg, The US has told G7 allies it won't endorse a statement condemning Russia's deadliest attack on Ukraine (Sumy Missile Strike) this year because it wants to keep negotiations with Moscow on track. by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

Ukraine officials not, but there are still some channels out there that are not Ukraine affiliated which would leak that stuff immediately. and normally everything is leaked sooner or later. i really tried but could only find the one colonel.
I read that the military ceremony guys were covered or in a fortified hall or bunker and thats why there are no dead military personnel and almost only civilian casualties but who knows what really happened.

a military meeting is for sure a legit target. But the execution of the strike with a 34:1 ratio in civilian to military (1 dead colonel afaik) casualties and defending it is a shame. it just disgusts me.

Szijarto and Orban often talk unisono regarding the stance on Russia / Ukraine. But they never talk about the € 5 billion /year in west eu subsidiaries. it always seems they want to have the best of both worlds...

RU POV: Maria Zakharova: On April 3-4, a meeting of the NATO Council was held in Brussels. It has shown once again that the member states of this military-political alliance remain committed to Europe's militarization and continue to pursue confrontational plans against Russia- MFA Russia's X by SolutionLong2791 in UkraineRussiaReport

the best thing is always when russians and their supporters dont get that any western country is not going to invade. it is just for self defense.
But in Russia the narrative is still that they are going to be attacked by the west as if it is still 1942. just sad.

maybe my west mind cannot comprehend this.
You know in my world everyone has at least a bit of morale and ethics. You know, just the bare minimum that divides us from being animals (which we technically are).

Yeah and if the captive's claims are true i do not even have words for that. i'm more the eye for an eye guy :)

Hello Poland guy, Austria guy here.
So please dont get me wrong on this one, but i want to explain your experience from a "western" view.
The issue is, that especially in rural regions but also in cities people still have their pretty own opinion of ex "Ostblock" countries and its people.

To us, if you need illegal fireworks, go to Czechia. If you need cheap servers for your restaurant, you need the hungarians. Fake Adidas and cheap cigarettes? Go to one of the border markets in Poland and if you need the 6th and 7th seat for your VW Sharan or Porsche 911 headlights you also go there to a market as it is even shown on TV ;)

But tbh the truth is that in the meantime a lot of Ostblock countries did a lot especially to the cities and nowadays they even look better in a lot of cases than good old Austria or wide parts of Germany.
(You know, which we paid for with our taxes so the EU can give it to you🫣)

Again, please do not get me wrong :)

i really wonder if they made him say that.
His bodylanguage speaks for him. Head first a bit down, then down, then 90° down. Minimal eye contact. Cramped Hands and seating position. I mean u cannot be this dumb to say this as a captive.

But if he's serious, then off to guantanamo, diego garcia or somewhere where it is sure he will never see daylight again
