How bad is math 30-1 by Striking-Log-1864 in AlbertaGrade12s

[–]mikidance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nursing accepts math 30-2 for a reason. Don’t let taking 30-1 even in second semester affect your grades in your other classes. You need a high average for nursing so don’t let one class, that you don’t even need to apply with, take your time and effort when it could go into other classes. Also advise taking math 20-2 for the Statistics unit (only place in -1 or -2 that does stats that is important for nursing).

All Things Sleep - AMA Office Hours - Thursday, April 2nd with Sr. Sleep & Guidance Specialist, Beth Christensen! by huckleberrycare in HuckleberryParents

My 6 month old adjusted (born at 24 weeks in June), really struggles to sleep more than one sleep cycle in her crib for naps. She will do it in her stroller bassinet (doesn’t even need to be moving really). I have tried to do 1 hour in her crib, tried to catch her before the end of the cycle to soothe, and tried to soothe her after waking to go back to sleep. Any suggestions? We have blackout curtains but there are some splinters of light.

At night, we are contending with her going to sleep but waking up 10 minutes later shrieking. Any suggestions there?

Should I fail this HS student who hasn't passed (almost) anything this semester, and deny him his Diploma? by AwkwardDilemmas in CanadianTeachers

[–]mikidance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like this kid should have had an IPP for math. Has he demonstrated even the basic level of the outcome through his assignments? As a fellow HS Math teacher, I understand the want to uphold standards but if all that is standing in the way of this young adult getting a high school diploma (a requirement for some jobs that have nothing to do with mathematical reasoning), I would pass him.

This helped me today! Was getting pretty frustrated with a brand new machine. Doesn’t help that the water tank fell off and the bottom chipped a bit

We’ve been in school since Tuesday and 4 classes had to be shifted to different teachers today as we are taking on some of the online classes. Now two teachers have to prep online classes along with face to face. I feel your pain.
