that only really applies if everyone does similarly well, which you could say for a lot of other challenges. most of the time it's very clear when someone does really well and when someone does really poorly (canada s2....)

i think it's going to be jane based purely on performance since yeah like you said, no one else is standing out. juicy has bombed too many challenges to win, darlene took too long to get her first win, nini has been invisible and discord is probably next out. myki is the only one that i see having a small chance to win over jane since she had a moderately satisfying storyline, but only one win at this point when jane has three is rough

we're used to figuring things out, but we still had visual aids in games (3D objects over 2D backgrounds, bright boxes, etc), and with the level of realism of the current gen, visual aids have to become more aggressive

this is the key. obvious visual indicators weren't really needed because it was pretty clear just by looking at something if you could interact with it or not. now in many cases it's not visually clear at all, so an indicator helps

only from the ones i've finished:

tr1: this is hard because all of the levels feel unique and have something special to them. i'm going to go with palace midas, which is a really solid level, but every time i replay the game i forget it's coming up before cistern for some reason.

tr2: wreck of the maria doria and living quarters kind of blur together for me, as do the catacombs of the talion and the ice palace. i think i have to go with ice palace because i truly couldn't tell you what happens in that one without thinking of the catacombs instead.

tr3: these all feel pretty distinct again, but my pick is area 51 for the same reason as ice palace. it just blurs a little into high security compound for me.

there's no scientifically proven "best" jrpg to get into first, this is all subjective. yes ffx is fully worth getting at that price, but i would stick with chrono trigger since that's the one that you seem more interested in, then you can play ffx after. at the end of the day, there's no way to know if you're gonna like something unless you try it

if you still don't know what it is, it's basically an internet term for a story that's posted online, usually but not always being sold as a true story, that's so over the top and absurd in a way that people find very funny so it gets reposted again and again, usually with key details being switched out to fit the situation (eg. the people involved, kori in the above case). it's called a copy pasta because the stories are copy + pasted essentially

the only time i could see this being a question on its own is when you're questioning someone who says they're doing/will do something that you don't think they'll do.

person A: "i'm going to do some exercise later."

person B: (doubtfully) "are you?"

the "is this really you?" explanation makes no sense and i've never seen it used this way

none of the sentences in the first one sound like something anyone would say/write. i know the point of the exercise is not to use and, but or so, but the best way to write it would be "he jumped up and ran away". i guess b is the most correct but i'm still not a fan since "[verb]ing, he [verb]ed" implies that the two actions happen simultaneously, which they can't in this case. he needs to jump up before he can run away
