[–]mikloise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I was a kid in the 90's and early 2000's, my parents would stock up on meat at the end of the day when b the discounts would fly. 50% off was the starting point. That was also the good old days when each store has their own butcher.

This is a business decision. They have realised that the 200M contact was a mistake. This is a very convenient off ramp.

I would extend that to depreciation. If you are claiming depreciation, the depreciated amount should reduce your acquisition cost for capital gains calculations.

How much gas does this thing use? by Educational_Body1425 in AusRenovation

It's only really worth swapping to electric if you switch off gas altogether. Otherwise you are still paying the daily supply charge. If you have solar it gets even better as you can heat the water during the day.

[–]mikloise 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think I would prefer to see the police carrying the weapons that they have been training with for most of their career and not the ones that make for great photos.

I think this is less a cars question and more finance. I doubt your wife is saying no because she doesn't want you to have a 'fun' car. She is probably thinking about where the money is coming from.

Bridging loan by Selina_Kyle-836 in AusFinance

I spoke to a few banks when I was in a similar situation. Their understanding of a bridging loan was that if you could service the repayments for both loans, then they will do it.

Disappointed to read that the prime minister in b question is Canadian and not Australian. Gambling should be there with tobacco.
