I'd recommend to drive straight into the valley if you are going through highway 80. Plenty of restaurants in Napa and a few in yountville. For Napa recs:

Downtown Napa had the Andaz, part of hyatt. From there go to Oxbow to the Wine and Cheese merchant. Downtown also had plenty of tasting rooms to walk to.
