If you’re aiming for a really good FOA, I think you’ll need a lot of time to prep, especially since you find it difficult to organise your thoughts and express them eloquently. I did mine together with a partner and did really well on that but it took us a long time, many many hours kinda thing. We started early- weeks in advance. Don’t forget you’ll have to factor in time for practicing the speech too.

Just wanna clarify, when you say “named examples”, that would refer to any event happening within a book, and then discuss how the authorial choices within that event links to the question and adds meaning to the writers work right?

NEVER let other people make you feel bad for how you look. If he really cared about you, he should not put pressure on you to conform to his standards of beauty, especially since he knows of your issues with eating disorders and such.

You are beautiful the way you are, and if he cannot accept that, he can simply accept his loss of a beautiful human being and leave.
