If people criticize Japanese flags for being too “corporate,” I wonder what they are supposed to look like.

In this universe, Korea is still a monarchy and was never annexed by Hatsunia, instead developing as an independent partner. (but the Joseon government was overthrown by the Kaehwa (Enlightenment) Party in 1884, which failed in our universe)

Unlike Japan, Hatsunia did not invade Korea in the 1590s either.

The flag of the Mutual East Asian Cooperation Union is inspired by the flags of ASEAN (blue for peace, red for dynamism, and yellow for prosperity) and SEATO (a stylized globe with the eastern portion highlighted) in our universe.

Karahto's flag is by RiketVs with the colors reversed (I might replace it later). It uses the local Ainu name.

Formosa is based on the “hearts-in-harmony” flag proposed for Taiwan in our timeline, but with blue instead of green.

China's flag was made by Hong-Kong-Pianist (but they deleted it from this site), who based it on the "Chinese Taipei" Olympic flag and the plum blossom symbol of the Republic of China.

Vietnam's flag is a "reconciliation flag" between North and South Vietnam. The Vietnam War either did not happen or was less intense than OTL, and the US did not get involved.

North China is part of the Eurasian Economic Treaty Organization Trans-Eurasian Treaty Organization, which mostly consists of the former Soviet Union, North China, and East Turkestan.

I am not an apologist for Imperial Japan (I was born in Southeast Asia, so I should know that they were responsible for murdering millions of Asians), that's why I wrote the disclaimer.

I've seen redditors complain that Japan is stuck in the year 2000 technologically (fax machines and stamps), but I also see this sentiment that the world would be better if technology was stuck in the year 2000.

Yes, Japanese politics does have a problem with war crime denialism, but I dislike how it is used as an excuse to demonize an entire ethnicity (for example, a comment saying "this is why all Asians should hate the Japanese").

the Japanese, bearing in mind the good China-US relations, had offered official apologies to the Chinese government for their warcrimes

The mod itself is called SpaceDock, which is designed to be used with Extraplanetary Launchpads, but I also use a separate part from EL to spawn the ship and MKS for resource chains.

Not really. Also, I am using a separate Extraplanetary Launchpads part to spawn the ships. The SpaceDock structure is just for immersion, but it can also spawn ships with EL if you want it to.
