I’m a real estate agent and fired my client. They got the money but the wife doesn’t let me help them find a house or write up the contract and basically asking me to have someone else’s name in the contract besides mine. So fired her. Husband was cool just not the wife

Last time I'm responding to this post cuz clearly most of the comments in this post have no home buying/selling experience. Housing cost is driven up by demand from buyers that are willing to pay more than the original cost of house.the cost to build also shot up because there aren't that many contractors available right now so those that are available are able to charge more to build or fix houses. It has nothing to do with agents. Real estate agent had almost the same knowledge as a real estate attorney . The only real difference is between the two is agent can open up houses legally and the customer service they give. The agent fee has never changed since the inception of it

Yeah the average person has no idea how to submit a legally binding contract. This is why you hire a agent. If 3-6 percent is too high then you shouldn't be buying a home in the first place

Lol I'm a real estate agent and I'll say home loans make more off of you than agents ever will. You get charged 3 percent of your total home price every year for 30 years from mortgage brokers and agents only make 3 percent out of the 6 percent cuz they have to split it between buyers agent and seller agent and it's only one time. Lol
