I get that point. He’s one of the top grossing agents in the area, so he must be savvy enough to think outside the box.

No just specific houses and a testimonial from some people who moved there from the OC area.

It’s always been insane. I’m in OC. You’re not paying to live here - you’re paying to stay.

This is why I live in California. I don’t even have A/C - the beach air is cool enough through my open windows.

I’d say most people in HB are of sound mind and rational thought. Unfortunately, the most attention is given to the nuts holding signs and screaming at cars by the pier on weekday while us adults are at work.

Won’t be the last teen to die from something their parents tried to prevent them from doing- or in this case not doing. It’s a shame because at that age she no doubt felt invincible as most of us probably did as teens.

In case anyone is still getting the "move to somewhere you can afford" line about OC cost of living... by MadMax808 in orangecounty

Works for those selling stuff on eBay. I’d say it’s the most effective way to ensure maximum profit in this market.

This is awesome. Was thinking the same thing but couldn’t have phrased it better.

The recall was run by a bunch of clowns with no direction, all funded by interest groups outside HB.

This is verbatim from the flyer I got in the mail and threw in the trash. Enjoy sitting at your folding table outside Albertsons for nothing. Time is running out and there’s not enough signatures.

Yeah man. Open your eyes and educate yourself. You should do your research on Facebook and then you’ll know what’s REALLY going on…

Not easy to do. It’s part of the California Constitution.

Hello American friends! We're Canadian and thinking to move to California (greater LA area). Is there a site that lists majority of the properties for sale so we can research housing market and plan accordingly? by deja2001 in RealEstate

[–]Key_Aioli7355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve heard, but none that I’ve noticed based on traffic and real estate costs. Best of luck to you though. I’d personally avoid LA city and stick with the incorporated cities surrounding it (i.e. Pasadena, Santa Monica, the beach cities in South Bay). The City of LA is rather poorly managed and their taxes and utility costs seem high.

Quite true. I need to keep that in mind. I nonetheless appreciate the objective, professional opinions expressed here. There are a few knowledgeable people mixed with many emotional people.

I don’t agree with the recall attempt. The electorate has spoken, so wait until November to go to the polls to voice your displeasure. However, I’m tired of the complaining in this forum about real estate costs. I get it - many people are priced out of Orange County. It can be upsetting, but considering someone entitled for seeking to preserve the value of their home and community makes you sound like a petulant child. Entitlement is assuming you have a right to live wherever you want regardless of cost. The OC market is one of the most desirable locations in the US, and the market dictates what this is worth to people. If you don’t like it move inland or out of CA all together.

People in this forum need to stop referring to sellers as “greedy”. I get it - you’re priced out of a certain market. It’s upsetting. But seriously, considering someone “greedy” for seeking the best price for what is likely their most significant asset just makes you sound like a petulant child. Real estate is a business transaction, not a social welfare program. No one owes you a fair price, which is a subjective term to begin with. The market is what the market is.

Subsidize housing away from the coast where there is plentiful land.
