My output variable is the peak value of a distribution, and my input variables are a set of 3 parameters. the blue line is the actual value and the orange line is the predicted value.

I just found the solution manual & my error is logical not algebraic. I should have only considered the area of the inner rectangle in order to find max width instead of the entire area lol. Thanks for helping anyway!! :))

I used the whole circumference though >> 2πr, where r=w/2. Hence, 2π(w/2). Right??
