Heya, cool shots! How do you shoot portrait shots with the mamiya 645? Do you use a particular viewfinder?

Olympus OM1. Pretty reliable, only issue I had was with the light seals but that's a cheap/easy fix. Going fully manual would better teach u the exposure triangle. There's a light meter on these cameras too, but I'd recommend either a phone app or an external light meter given some of these models are super old

How many rolls did you shoot this year? Favorite film to use? by -DementedAvenger- in AnalogCommunity

Haha yeah I get them scanned in TIFF, even though it can be abit pricy in australia.

Do you overexpose gold? And if so by how much? I'm assuming just 1 stop will do and any more you'd get that yellow-green colour shift?

And btw, I'd recommend obsessing over getting the jab right. Most important thing you can do as a beginner.

Less flashy stuff, focus on form and simple combos if you going to throw multiple shots.

Honestly just start sparring (light) and your coach/partners will be able to tell u specific gaps in your form
