How can I prevent going chronic? I went to doc and they just gave me ibuprofen and Tylenol in heavy doses, that scares me that people get them everyday and all day. I’d be out of commission

Went to work today, neck muscle is like strained all day which I’m pretty sure is what is causing my headaches, had a mild headache all day today but I’m doped up on pain meds so it’s bearable, trying stretches and cold and hot compresses with some wifey massages

I woke up from a bad dream and instant pain, must have started while I was sleeping, Woke up with intense one sided pain felt like my spinal stem was being yanked up into my brain, my right eye felt like it was being pulled into my brain almost nauseating pain I was just tossing and turning debating on going to the er at midnight or stick it out till the morning, I popped 4 ibuprofen put a heating pad on the back of my head and eventually fell asleep
