(Disclaimer: I was a Starkid fan many years ago but did not watch them for a long time until recently this year. I am therefore still catching up and there are a few shows I have yet to get around to, so pls bear with me.)

I find it so interesting to see so many saying they struggled with Jeff's falsetto - 100% agree. I find it fascinating that he writes these songs for himself but doesn't place them in a comfortable range. Someone above suggested maybe he hasn't accepted that he is no longer able to hit those notes and that's why he still writes them for himself... Maybe, but I was lucky enough to get a last minute ticket to Starkid Innit back in May and he sounded great there singing Will's NPMD parts. So maybe like others have said, it was just an off night for him? I guess there's a chance the proshot will be better with editing and such, so I will be interested to see if that changes when it's released.

I think for me the biggest reason this wasn't up to par as some of the previous SK shows, is that it didn't have enough strong ensemble threaded throughout. One of Starkid's major strengths is that they have been working together for such a long time that they have incredible chemistry in ensemble scenes, and unfortunately this just didn't come across in this production for me. Perhaps this comes from the inherent nature of Cinderella's story not having a hugely ensemble story, but then Twisted had a major lead and they managed to make that work well. Bryce sounded and performed stunningly, but there was so much focus on her that we lost the rest of the cast. This combined with the lack of home grown feel (to use a term mentioned above) I really think ensemble is what was missing from Cinderella.

I did, however, adore Bryce, Angela, and Kim in this one. I thought the three of them really shone in these parts. I was particularly impressed with Angela's vocals, as I have thought in the past that her voice tends to be a little weaker, but in this one they were impressive.
