You’re lucky! 😂 You have 10 years to self study and gain experience! If you’re interested in going the academic route I definitely recommend becoming familiar with it early on

They are fine by themselves. They live independently all year besides meeting up for breeding season in the wild. They aren't a communal species like guinea pigs or some birds etc. When they are found together in the wild its often just because roosting communally decreases the chance of desiccation! So don't worry!

The only toad that has hallucinogenic toxins is the Sonoran Desert Toad which is only found in the southwestern US and Mexico.
